You’ll often find local markets in full swing, cafes, and restaurants to grab a bite to eat but it’s also great for those wanting to indulge in some culture or history on their travels. Equally, if you’re looking to head out of the city you can make use of the local bus service and beach hop to different villages around the lake or, head for the mountains behind the lake and climb on foot to panoramic views.

Get swept up in the lively mountain town of Chamonix – with it’s appetite for adventure and beautiful scenery. With one of Europe’s highest peaks, the Mont Blanc, towering over the town, it’s no wonder the town invites adventure enthusiasts. The walking trails here are fantastic and can be more on the challenging side - great for keen hikers.
