Surrounded by rolling hills and countryside, Saalbach and Hinterglemm in the scenic Glemm valley are a paradise for walkers offering 400km of well marked paths and more than 30 rustic mountain huts along the way. The ‘Saalbach Hinterglemm Joker Card’ gives FREE unlimited use of all cable cars and walkers’ buses in the valley, plus guided walks and free entrances to various attractions, making this beautiful region fantastic value and a joy to explore. There is a huge range of activities for families, and it is also one of Austria’s premier mountain biking areas. Both villages have attractive pedestrianised centres with a good choice of shops, cafés and restaurants. Traditional folklore events, band concerts and weekly festivals take place throughout July and August.
Saalbach Hinterglemm is home to Austria's largest dedicated mountain biking area, with 400km of marked trails suitable for all abilities, as well as guided cycle tours. Europe’s highest waterfall, with a total drop of 380 meters in three spectacular stages. You can walk right to the foot of the falls where they empty into the river Salzach and enjoy the sound and the fury. The fit and energetic can attempt the steep walk right to the top. There is also time to relax with a drink and a delicious cake at one of the cafes.

A magnificent drive along a famous Alpine road leading right in to the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park up to the highest mountain in Austria at 3,073m, for breathtaking glacier views and a chance to see wild marmots at close range. Located in the heart of Salzburgerland, Liechtenstein Gorge is not only the most beautiful but also one of the longest and deepest gorges you can find in Alps. Join us for a half-day and see this wonder of nature with roaring waterfalls, moss covered boulders and rainbows wherever sun touches the fine mist in the air. Travel home over the beautiful Hoch Konig mountains with a refreshment stop in the traditional Austrian village of Maria Alm.
