Hotel Monte Sarago is on a hillside next to Ostuni - a stunning, whitewashed town and one of our favourite places in Puglia. You're very close to the historic centre here and you can get incredible views of the town from the small pool. You can get to it by walking up the ancient steps that run up the cliff beside the hotel. It was once used by pilgrims to reach the top of the Monte Sarago hill and is a protected path. It’s an incredible feeling to be walking in the footsteps of so many people. Don’t worry if you’re not up for the exercise though as there’s a shuttle bus that runs there too. We love relaxing here in the summer – you can even see as far as the coast.
This is a modern and comfortable hotel. You can’t beat the location – it’s just a ten-minute walk into Ostuni and a short drive to the white sandy coves of the Apulian east coast. The hotel's L’Opificio Restaurant is open for dinner so you won’t have to go far to try some Mediterranean food. We recommend heading into Ostuni some nights to try some local restaurants too. Speak to the hotel staff for their recommendations. When you return to the hotel, stop for a quick night cap in the bar before heading to your room.
Car hire is recommended for this hotel. Hotel Monte Sarago is approx. 50 mins from Bari or Brindisi airport.
