It doesn’t get much more authentic than staying in a trullo in Puglia. Alberobello is famous because of these conical-roofed buildings and they’ve earned the town it’s UNESCO World Heritage status. Most people head here for the day to browse the shops or drink in the cafés so it’s a very special experience when you get stay once the day-trippers have left. There’s nothing quite like exploring these streets without the crowd.
The trulli have been restored to offer comfortable and surprisingly spacious accommodation. You can expect lots of authentic features but there are modern comforts too like WiFi and air conditioning. They are scattered throughout Alberobello so you’ll have your own private entrance and be within walking distance of the centre. There’s a central reception where you can pick up your keys and staff can help with advice you might need. Breakfast is taken in a lovely local café so fill up on the fresh, continental spread before setting off out for the day.
Car hire is recommended for this hotel. Trulli Houses are approx. 1 hour 5 mins from Bari or Brindisi airport.
