This beautiful country villa, Hotel Villa Favorita, was built in 1752 in the Sicilian Baroque style is set in lovely gardens planted with palms and almond trees. The property is family run and still in the hands of decedents of the Di Lorenzo family who originally built it in the eighteenth century. The outdoor pool overlooks the surrounding countryside all the way to the historic town of Noto just three kilometres away. Strategically located, this hotel provides an excellent base for visiting and exploring South East Sicily including the towns of Noto, Scicli, Modica, Ragusa and Syracuse. There are plenty of sandy beaches just a short drive away, including the beautiful coast line of the Oriented Nature Reserve Oasis of Vendicari.
The hotel’s interiors are bright and airy, adorned with antiques. The décor follows through into the bedrooms which are decorated in light fresh tones and retain a traditional Sicilian style. The restaurant serves Sicilian specialties and guests can dine beneath the stars on the terrace overlooking the citrus grove where they grow oranges, lemons and organic tangerines. For generations the family have produced their own extra virgin olive oil and Nero d'Avola and Inzolia wines, available for guests to try. We recommend relaxing on the terrace with a glass of the authentic Sicilian red grape d'Avola, whilst taking in the stunning views.
