From the cobbled colonial towns of Quebec to the unspoiled frontiers of British Columbia’s Pacific coast, this extensive escorted tour will guide you through diverse cities, beautiful National Parks, rolling ranchland and geological wonders that will leave you awestruck.
Day 1 – Arrival in Toronto (Saturday)
Arrive into Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore and after checking in with your tour director we recommend heading out to explore the dynamic streets of Toronto. Experience the colorful neighborhoods, attractions or sample the cuisine in one of the many local restaurants.
Day 2 – Toronto / Niagara Falls Excursion (Sunday)
This morning meet your fellow travellers at breakfast before setting out to discover more of Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. There will be plenty of time to see the provincial parliament buildings, waterfront, impressive CN Tower and lively Chinatown. Afterwards you'll leave the city skyline behind and head for the Niagara Peninsula, passing through outlying communities and towns along the shores of Lake Ontario en route to the spectacular Niagara Falls. Admire the geological wonder in your own time or perhaps take part in some optional activities.
Day 3 – Toronto to Ottawa (Monday)
Today we drive east towards the national capital city of Ottawa. Winding through rolling farmland and following the rivers and lakes of the Rideau Waterway you'll arrive in Ottawa where you'll enjoy a sightseeing tour. The city offers many great sights including the the government buildings on Parliament Hill, Byward Market, City Hall and the Rideau Canal (designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site).
Day 4 – Ottawa to Quebec City (Tuesday)
The French-speaking province of Quebec is your next stop on this tour. Travelling along the scenic Ottawa River and skirting the magnificent Laurentians you'll arrive in the cultural heartland of Quebec City. Bask in the charm as you stroll through the old city and take in over 400 years of history in the birthplace of French North America. The ornate city gates, Lower Town, the Citadel and Battlefields Park are highlights of the tour.
Day 5 – Quebec City (Wednesday)
A day at your leisure to further explore the sights of this charming World Heritage Site. An optional full day excursion will see you board a regular boat and search for the worlds largest mammals with an exciting whalewatching experience on the St. Lawrence River. The days ends with a trip to the spectacular Montmorency Falls that surpass the world-famous Niagara falls in height. Spend the evening strolling around the city, the Château Frontenac.
Day 6 – Quebec City to Montreal (Thursday)
Today you depart Quebec City and follow the St.Lawrence River en route to Montreal. The dynamic city of Montreal is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world and encapsulates the two founding cultures of Canada boasting a curious blend of history and modernity. Touring the downtown area we view the Olympic Complex, charming Old Montreal, McGill University, the residential streets of Mount Royal and the bustling shopping streets.
Day 7 – Montreal to Toronto (Friday)
Stopping of in Rockport you'll have the opportunity to cruise the 1000 islands on an optional excursion before looping back to Toronto, where you'll have time to continue to explore the colourful neighbourhoods and diverse city streets.
Day 8 – Toronto to Calgary Flight (Saturday)
Today you'll catch a cross country flight to Calgary, the gateway to the Rockies. Your afternoon is at your leisure to explore the downtown area. Sample the best street food, shop in the many unique boutiques or stroll the pathways of the Bow and Elbow Rivers that border much of the area.
Day 9 – Calgary to Banff National Park / Canmore (Sunday)
You'll see an early start this morning to tour the sights of Calgary, admiring the modern and historic landmarks such as the Calgary Tower, Fort Calgary and the skyscrapers of the commercial district. Leaving Calgary behind we set our sights on the Rocky Mountains. You'll get to experience the majesty of the mountains on your journey through Banff National Park where a tour showcases the impressive peaks, glaciers and pure lakes of the Banff region.
Day 10 – Canmore / Banff National Park (Monday)
An entire day is at leisure to tour Banff and discover the numerous boutiques and specialty shops along Banff Avenue. An optional full-day tour to the Columbia Icefield starts with a visit to the turquoise waters and spectacular glacier of Lake Louise, the jewel of the Rockies. From the unsurpassed beauty of Lake Louise you'll enter a rugged wilderness and travel up the world famous Icefields Parkway. At the spectacular Columbia Icefields an Ice Explorer vehicle awaits to take you onto the surface of the ancient Athabasca Glacier.
Day 11 – Canmore to Kamloops (Tuesday
Following a route charted by the railroad engineers and fur traders of the mid 1800s you'll travel along the famed Trans-Canada Highway. Crossing into British Columbia’s Yoho National Park you are treated to a dazzling display of vast icefields, deep canyons, dense forests and glacier-fed streams. After passing the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges you'll arrive in the rugged town of Kamloops.
Day 12 – Kamloops to Whistler (Wednesday)
Setting off on a drive through the ranch lands you can expect a day of dramatic scenery changes as you head for the coastal mountains surrounding Whistler. Upon arrival in this world renowned resort an optional Float plane sightseeing tour will offer the best views over volcanic peaks, sparkling glaciers, Alpine lakes and rolling meadows. Alternatively relax and discover the many restaurants, shops and bars Whistler village has to offer.
Day 13 – Whistler to Vancouver (Thursday)
Today you drive south along the spectacular Sea-to-Sky Highway The afternoon is set aside for you take some time and discover more of this coastal gem.
Day 14 – Vancouver (Friday)
An entire day at leisure to further explore the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. Shop down Robson street, relax in Stanley park or simply stroll the markets of Granville Island. An optional full-day tour to Victoria will allow you to admire the charming provincial capital with proud maritime heritage. There will be plenty of time to visit the Butchart Gardens showcasing one of the world's greatest floral displays before taking the ferry back to Vancouver.
Day 15 – End of Tour (Saturday)
Bid Canada farewell before some last minute shopping for souvenirs to remember your amazing trip. Individually transfer to Vancouver’s International Airport in time to check in for your return flight.
