With over 1,200 km of marked hiking trails, the Graubünden region is a hiker’s dream. From leisurely lakeside strolls to challenging high-altitude treks, this region offers it all. Head up the breathtaking Parsenn, where a hike rewards you with sweeping views of Davos and the surrounding mountains, or explore the scenic Flüela Pass with its panoramic vistas of the alpine wilderness. For a more relaxed pace, walk the beautiful Landwasser Valley, known for its stunning waterfalls and picturesque villages.

What makes walking in Graubünden unique is the diversity of landscapes - majestic peaks, lush meadows, tranquil lakes, and charming alpine villages. You’ll feel like you’re walking through a painting.

While Davos and Klosters are well-known for their winter sports, these Swiss resorts shine year-round. The surrounding mountain ranges offer countless opportunities for adventure. For thrill-seekers, there’s paragliding over the picturesque valleys, mountain biking on the rugged trails, or even taking a scenic ride on the famous Bernina Express, which traverses some of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in the world.

If you prefer a more leisurely approach, why not explore Davos’ charming town centre, home to quirky museums and a vibrant arts scene? Or take a peaceful boat ride on Lake Davos, where the clear blue waters and surrounding peaks provide an idyllic escape. The region is also a haven for wellness, with plenty of spas offering the perfect remedy after a day of hiking or biking.

Graubünden is not just about outdoor pursuits; it’s also rich in culture and history. In Klosters, you’ll find traditional Swiss chalets, while Davos boasts a cosmopolitan vibe with its long history as a ski resort and host to the prestigious World Economic Forum. Both towns feature a variety of restaurants, from rustic mountain huts to Michelin-starred dining, where you can sample local specialties like fondue, raclette, and alpine cheeses.

For a dose of local history, visit the Davos Monastery and the Kirchner Museum, showcasing works by German expressionist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. Don’t miss the historical village of Susch, with its impressive art gallery housed in an old railway station. Whether you’re into culture, history, or just soaking in the natural beauty, Graubünden offers an unforgettable experience.

After a day of exploring, treat yourself to the region’s delicious alpine cuisine. Graubünden is famous for its hearty dishes, from the flavorful Capuns (Swiss dumplings) to Pizzoccheri, a buckwheat pasta served with cheese and potatoes. Local meats, like Bündnerfleisch (cured beef), and cheeses are also a must-try, best enjoyed with a glass of the region’s fine wine.

The restaurants here blend traditional Swiss flavours with international flair, so whether you're in a rustic mountain hut or a chic alpine bistro, the food is always a highlight. For the perfect end to a perfect day, indulge in some Swiss chocolate, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try a local digestif like Grappa or Zirbenz, made from the stone pine tree.
