This charming little Tyrolean hotel offers a warm atmosphere and is ideal for guests who like to be made to feel at home. Tirol Twin Rooms are around 22m² and have a small shower and terrace overlooking garden area on the lower ground floor. All rooms have cable TV, phone, radio, free Wi-Fi, safe and hairdryer.

Bio Twin Rooms are around 22-24m² and can sleep up to three (single sofa bed). These rooms are furnished in a modern Alpine style and have a shower and balcony.

Seefeld Twin Rooms are around 22-24m² and can sleep up to three (single sofa bed). These rooms are light and airy and have a shower and balcony.

Junior Suites are around 27-30m² and can sleep up to four (double sofa bed in lounge area). These rooms have a shower and balcony.

Single Rooms are around 16m² with shower and have either a French balcony or normal balcony.

A wonderful resort, brimming with Tyrolean culture, Seefeld sits on the border between Austria and Germany and is bustling with life and action all throughout the summer. Sitting on a sunny plateau above the Inns valley, it is great for those who want to explore the nearby city of Innsbruck.

The walks and cycle routes around Seefeld are excellent, varying from easy to moderate each path and trail explores the outstanding beauty of the mountainous area at a leisurely pace.

Seefeld food and restaurants

You can experience some truly delicious cuisine in and around Seefeld in a variety of different restaurants and bars that cater for different tastes and interests. Milchhof offers some traditional Austrian food and is a firm favourite of Inghams, and Klosterbrau Grill has a brilliant setting in an old wine cellar, serving their own home-brewed beers.

Fleder Maus sports bar sits in the centre of town and is lively on the weekend evenings, and Woods is a popular après ski bar in the winter but opens out into a lovely sunny terrace in the summer that overlooks Seekirchl. Beer is the local drink of choice, and you can find home brewed beer on the tap at the Klosterbrau Grill.

 

Seefeld shopping

Seefeld sits only 10 miles away from the city of Innsbruck, which makes an excellent shopping location for those who want to pick up a few designer goods, souvenirs, clothes, shoes, handbags and more! Getting to Innsbruck is easy, you can get the train from the centre of Seefeld and be within the city within 40 minutes.

 

Seefeld spas and relaxation

You can find a spa complex in the Olympia Leisure Centre in Seefeld where there are saunas, tranquility rooms, cold plunge pools, relaxation pools, massages on offer as well as beauty treatments.

Most 4-star hotels also offer spa facilities, but notably the Hotel Seespitz has a wonderful indoor/outdoor swimming pool, saunas, steam baths, infrared cabins, gym, massage and beauty treatments. The lake-side location adds to the charm of this hotel.

Exploring further afield, Innsbruck is only a 40 minute train journey away is brimming with culture and history. Visit some famous international landmarks like the Golden Roof, Imperial Palace, Ambras Castle, Tyrolean Folk Art Museum and the Swarovski Crystal World.

Neuschwanstein Castle & Oberammergau from £45 per person (full day)

Visit King Ludwig of Bavaria’s famous fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein used as the inspiration by Walt Disney for his Cinderella castle in his theme parks. On the way we stop to visit the historic Passion Play village of Oberammergau. Price includes castle entrance fee.

(A good level of fitness is required to climb the steps at Neuschwanstein Castle)

Linderhof Palace & Ettal Abbey (full day)

Linderhof Palace is one of King Ludwig of Bavaria’s famous castles - and the only one he lived to see completed. Afterwards we stop at Ettal Abbey which dates from 1330 and still has a community of Benedictine monks living and working here. Price includes entrance to the castle, abbey is free to enter.

Merano, Italy (full day)

Journey over the border for this popular full day excursion into Italian province of South Tyrol. Enjoy lunch in the famous spa town of Merano with its ‘Ladino’ culture, an interesting mix of Austrian and Italian influences.

Lake Achensee & Rattenberg (full day)

Travel along the Inn Valley to Tyrol’s largest lake. Perhaps take a trip on the popular steam train or enjoy a scenic boat trip (optional). Also visiting Rattenberg, famous for its Crystal glass production.
