Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Parc Hotel Germano is modern and stylish. It's got a panoramic position with sweeping views over the lake. Better yet, every room here is a suite so it’s perfect if you’re after a more indulgent holiday. They’re all in low rise buildings throughout the park and have large private balconies or terraces. If you want to spoil yourself, opt for one with a private pool.

The hotel is about a mile outside the centre of Bardolino - you can walk there in about 15 minutes. Being outside the centre means there’s lots of space in the hotel’s grounds. Its lovely Mediterranean park is the perfect place for a post-lunch stroll. You’ll be able to enjoy the established trees and well-kept flowers, as well as views to the lake. There's even a pond where you can fish for carp.

There’s two outdoor pools to choose from (including one just for adults) and you’ll always be able to find a sun lounger. There's also a spa which is bookable and payable locally - it has a steam area, whirlpool and an indoor pool.

A holiday to Bardolino means enjoying lots of excellent wines. The town's surrounded by a stunning scene of orchards, olive groves and vineyards. Plan your trip for around the end of September and you’ll be able to enjoy the Bardolino Wine Festival that celebrates the town’s namesake wine - a light, fruity red that pairs perfectly with fish.

What to see on a Bardolino holiday

It’s not just about the wine here. The town has a busy main square filled with cafés, restaurants and upmarket shops. Evening choir and music concerts are often held here during the summer, making it a great place to spend an evening people watching and enjoying local food. The square leads down to a pretty harbour where you’ll find miles of lakeside promenade that’s perfect for walking or cycling - it’ll take you all the way to the neighbouring resort of Garda. If you’re after something more strenuous, there are plenty of walking trails nearby. Choose from over 20 that head up into the hills that surround the town.
