About Hotel Angerer Alm

The traditional, family-run Hotel Angerer Alm offers high standards of service and cuisine, as well as views over the valley. Guests return year after year to enjoy the warm welcome and great location. And who can blame them?

You'll receive a warm welcome at the Hotel Angerer Alm. It was one of the first hotels to establish itself in Hochgurgl, and has three generations of experience in excellent service. The hotel also welcome pets in the public areas (but don't worry, no four-legged friends are allowed in the restaurant). 

The interior is cosy and traditional, with an open fireplace to warm yourself by after a day in the snow.

Located in the centre of Hochgurgl, the Angerer Alm has wonderful views over the valley. The hotel is within 100 metres of the main ski lifts which will take you explore the entire Obergurgl-Hochgurgl area.

South facing Austrian twins are around 25m² and have a bath, seating area and balcony. 

East facing Austrian twins are more spacious at around 35m² and can sleep up to three using the double sofa bed in the lounge area. They have been renovated with wooden flooring and have a shower and a balcony. 

Deluxe Austrian twins are the most spacious at 35-40m². They can sleep three using a single sofa bed and have a bath, seating area and balcony with south facing views.

South Facing and East Facing rooms are available for single occupancy on request. Please call to book.

Hochgurgl ski resort offers high-altitude skiing, guaranteed snow, modern lifts, and stunning alpine views, perfect for all levels. Obergurgl (1,930m) and its smaller, higher neighbour of Hochgurgl (2,150m), are situated in the upper Ötztal Valley on the main alpine ridge where snow is excellent from November through to May.

Discover Hochgurgl

Hochgurgl is the smaller but higher neighbouring resort of Obergurgl. With slopes rising up to 3,080m, their altitude was not lost on Walter Ingham, the founder of the Inghams. He brought his first party of skiers here in 1934 after placing an advert in The Times. It said: “Private Party to Ski the Tyrol  - 14 days for 12 guineas.”

At the end of the 1990s Obergurgl and Hochgurgl finally got a crucial mid-mountain link between their two previously separate ski areas - the Top Express eight-person gondola.

A red run from the top of the Schermerspitze chairlift down to Obergurgl gives an impressive vertical descent of 1,500m. The two-stage chairlift up the Wurmkogl gives access to some truly challenging red runs and some fun off-piste.

Hochgurgl has recently opened the doors of its new ‘Top Mountain Crosspoint’ vintage museum and restaurant set at the bottom station of the new Kirchenkar 10-person gondola. The multifunctional building that hosts a motorbike museum and a state-of-the-art mountain restaurant with table service and panoramic views.

The snowpark in Hochgurgl, known as the Funmountain Gurgl, offers a variety of attractions for all skill levels. It includes the Funcross, Funslope, and Familypark, featuring waves, jumps, steep turns, boxes, snow figures, and tunnels. The park is designed to provide fun and excitement for both beginners and advanced riders.

Sledging in Hochgurgl offers thrilling rides on a 3km natural toboggan run with 25 exciting turns. The run is illuminated for night sledging every Thursday, creating a magical atmosphere. Toboggan rentals are available at the gondola stations, and the gondola ride is free with a valid lift ticket.

Indoor golf in Hochgurgl is a unique experience offered at the Hotel Riml. This facility boasts one of Europe's largest indoor golf centres, located at an altitude of over 2,200 meters. It features state-of-the-art simulators, a putting green, and professional golf instruction.
