Things to Do

Vancouver is such a diverse and beautiful city. It's surrounded by mountains, and also has thriving art, theatre and music scenes. If you're partial to exploring and shopping then a few days in the city is a must.

Stanley Park - Named one of the world's best parks by Trip Advisor, it's not to be written off in the winter. Bundle up, grab some gloves and a scarf and take a stroll around the perimeter. It takes two to four hours depending on how often you stop to admire the views. The ancient aboriginal villages sites, totem poles and the occasional sea otter rolling around on the empty beaches are sights waiting to be discovered.

Gastown - A trendy neighbourhood named after the historical figure 'Gassy Jack'. Once Canada's third largest city and home to various lumber mills, Gastown is now filled with chic loft apartments, cocktail lounges, flashy boutiques and European eateries.

Granville Island - A very popular spot to visit and shop year round. Its home to a bustling public market, food stalls, restaurants, galleries and art studios. The market hall is filled with some of the best produce in the city, come for a browse and you'll no doubt end up staying for a meal or bite to eat.

Museum of Anthropology - An important visit if you really want to learn about the cities roots. Showcasing Aboriginal works, both ancient and contemporary, weaving together a story of exciting history and the relationship with the global community.
