Discover Whistler

Rated again and again as North America’s best ski resort, Whistler truly has it all. Over 200 trails spread between two peaks (Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains) and linked by the famous Peak2Peak gondola, the resort has become the pride and joy of Canada’s Pacific North West. Whistler Blackcomb offers more choice than nearly any other mountain destination in the world, with a combination of adrenaline pumping descents and incredible scenery.

Seeing the west coast of Canada wouldn't be complete without a few days in Vancouver. This stunning city set between sea and mountains is not to be missed. You can add on a flexible Vancouver city stay before or after your Whistler holiday for the perfect snow and city combination.

The skiing and snowboarding are world class, and will suit all needs. There are plenty of easy blue and green slopes for those finding their feet, and even more options for those at a more intermediate level including the bowls and the extremely Canadian off-piste tours for those who fancy something a little more daring.

With over 8,171 acres of skiable terrain, it's impossible to get bored. During your stay, you'll have the chance to explore 16 alpine bowls, 3 glaciers and some world-class terrain parks. Whistler is also home to one of the longest and reliable winter seasons, so you're in for some great snow!

Awarded the best family ski resort award in 2023, Whistler is a great resort for families. There are lots of opportunities for little ones on the mountains, and Whistlers specially designed family zones include the amazing Whistler Kids Snow School, enchanted Tree Fort and Magic Castle - guaranteed to put smiles on everyone’s faces.

More about Whistler

Things to do in Whistler

Enjoy an unforgettable opportunity to fly over the BC treetops and see Whistler from a different angle with a Ziptrek or Superfly zip lining experience. Most tours start and can be easily arranged from the village centre.

Located above the village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, the Whistler Sliding Centre is a world-class bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track. You'll be able to slide like an Olympian with no prior experience, or explore the history and Olympic legacy on a sightseeing tour.

As everyone always says, if you can walk on your two feet, then you can snowshoe! Get away from the hustle and bustle of the village and ski slopes, and completely immerse yourself in nature.

Enjoy a guided tour that will follow the paths of the First Nations ancestors in Whistler and learn about the traditional uses of the forest bounties for survival in the harsh mountain climates, or go unguided and experience Whistler’s backcountry at your own pace.

Enjoy a fun day out for all the family at the Whistler Blackcomb tube park that has 7 different lanes and over 1000ft of sliding fun!

There are suitable lanes for children as young as three years old (Mini-kids lane), as well as adults, and plenty of fun options for groups.

Wear your warm, waterproof clothing and after a day of tubing enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and other refreshments offered by the park.

A favourite Canadian past-time, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to ice skating in Whistler village.

Grab a pair of skates for a small fee and enjoy the Whistler Olympic Plaza ice rink during the winter months, for some outdoor ice skating (runs December-April), or enjoy the indoor facilities at the Meadow Park Sports Centre.
