Reindeer Discovery and Adventure 

Visiting a local reindeer farm gives you an evocative picture of the traditional lifestyle, in which reindeer play a central part. You will hear great stories from your hosts and learn all about the reindeer, including their fondness for mushrooms. 

Ride in a reindeer sleigh through the snowy fells and forests, which feels as if you have entered the secret world of Narnia through a magic wardrobe. At least until your reindeer decides to pause for a snack on some tasty lichen under the snow... some do have a stubborn streak.

Either way, you can get close to one of our (and Santa’s) favourite animals - something not to be missed!

Reindeer Herding Experience and Picnic

You now have truly a special, once in a lifetime chance to experience something only very few in the world have - immerse yourself in the world of authentic reindeer herding lifestyle!

Experience the dozens of gentle reindeer coming to you - feed them from your hand, take pictures and videos with hundreds of them surrounding you from all sides.

Afterwards, enjoy the warmth of a campfire whilst grilling homemade sausages or having sandwiches. Have a cup of coffee or tea and just relax. That’s what the reindeer herding experience is all about!

You will then be taken on a serene sleigh ride through snowy forests, guided by a Sami guide and their reindeer. The visit includes a farm visit where you can learn about the reindeer.

Glide through the snowy forest in a traditional reindeer-pulled sleigh, taking in the peaceful surroundings and magical Arctic scenery at a gentle pace — just as the Sámi people have done for generations.

An exciting excursion to visit Santa is included as part of your Santa Breaks package to Levi. You'll also have the choice to add other activities like snowmobiling, husky sledding and a reindeer sleigh ride to your holiday.
