Children will travel safely in a sleigh pulled behind the guide, while adults can choose to share a snowmobile or drive solo. Along the way, you’ll stop at a traditional Finnish kota — a cosy wooden hut — to warm up with hot berry juice, surrounded by the sparkle of the snowy forest. Then it’s back on your snowmobiles to continue the festive journey through Lapland’s enchanting winter wonderland.

Is spotting the Northern Lights high on your bucket list? Why not book an overnight stay in a magical glass igloo. These unique glass igloos offer an unparalleled view of the starry night sky, and if you're lucky, the mesmerising Northern Lights may make an appearance. Fall asleep under a blanket of stars, surrounded by the enchanting snow covered forests, and wake up to breathtaking views of the Lappish landscape. Don’t worry about trying to stay awake into the early hours, a wake up call is provided when the Northern Lights are overhead to ensure you don’t miss a moment. 

  • Superior Igloos are about 23m² and located on the side of the fell. They have motorised twin beds, plus a sofa bed for two children (under 12 years).
  • Prime Superior Igloos are about 23m² and are located in the front or second row. They have motorised twin beds, plus a sofa bed for two children (under 12 years).
  • Suite Igloos are situated in the front row and have the best-unobstructed view of the valley and northern sky. The Suite Igloos are the largest igloo type at about 53m², they have a King size bed and two extra beds for 2 children (under 12 years old), a lounge area with a dining table and chairs and private terrace with an outdoor jacuzzi. You will also receive a glass of champagne as a welcome drink. - These igloos are available on request, please give our Reservations team a call to book.

Northern Light Stays

An opportunity for guests who have never skied before to try the wonderful world of skiing. Conditions are ideal for learning to ski with quiet slopes and friendly English-speaking instructors. The ski taster takes place at the beginner slopes at South Point. Collect your bus pass from Zero Point and make your way there on the local Ski Bus (about 10-20 minutes). Buses run every 15 minutes.

Lapland does not have mountains but instead fells, which provide an amazing environment for those who are keen to ski or snowboard at any level whilst visiting the Arctic circle. Guests staying on one of our 3 or 4 night breaks will receive flights, transfers, accommodation on either half board or self-catered basis and thermal suits and boots.

Santa Breaks holidays include a magical visit to Santa’s home, complete with a private audience with Santa himself. You’ll receive arctic thermal suits and snow boots for all adults and children (3 years and above). Choose from hotels, apartments, and cabins in Levi, Ylläs and Muonio, with choices of board basis from self-catered to full board. Every Santa Break includes a Festive Feast, filled with fun and games.

Thermal suits and boots are included in our prices for all Inghams Santa Breaks holidays for guests aged 3yrs and over. In both Levi and Ylläs, guests will be asked to collect their thermal suits and boots from our partner shop in the resort centre on arrival. For guests staying in the Ylläs Log Cabins, we usually make a stop on the way from the airport before dropping you off at your cabin, depending on how far your cabin is from the resort centre. We can cater for all sizes, but please mention if you need an extra-large thermal suit or boots when you book so we can advise our partner shop in advance to make sure they have a suit available for you on arrival. For children under 0-2yrs, parents must bring their own thermal clothing as this is not included in the holiday price and availability locally cannot be guaranteed.

On the 2nd day of your Santa Break holiday, make your way through the snowy wonderland of Lapland and seek out Santa's grotto. You'll know you've found him once you spot Comet the reindeer keeping watch outside and ready to say hello to you. Take a peak inside and see Santa as you enjoy a private family meeting with the man himself.
