Hotel Hanneshof sits proudly in the centre Filzmoos opposite the village square and a short five minutes walk to lift and nearest slope. Inside you will appreciate its character with a quirky reception and living area, tranquil water fountain and homely design. The grandfather was a sailor and painter so artwork of boats are dotted around the hotel.

Wellness and relaxation

There is no better place to relax after a day of snowy adventures. Head down to the spa area where you'll find a panoramic indoor pool, sauna and steam room. The fresh aroma compliments the plant, stone and roman bath design. Stay active in the fitness room with a treadmill, balance bike and power bench. For the ultimate treat why not book in for a massage?

Austrian food

Food is a big part of any holiday, and staying at the Hanneshof will ensure that you are well taken care of. The dining room has an authentic Austrian vibe and hearty food.Each morning a varied breakfast buffet is served with tasty breads and pastries from the local Filzmoos, amongst other hot and cold items. After a day of adventure, you will feel at home in the extensive bar and lounge, a delicious teatime treat is available until 5pm often including homemade cakes and strudels. Evening meals include a range of traditional Austrian dishes and international cuisine, the hotel has a extensive wine shop with 150 wines - the Hirtl house wines are an excellent choice. They are Austrian wines grown in a historic vineyard in Poysdorf.

Filzmoos is a truly idyllic mountain village where little has changed over the years. It has an excellent snow record, superb panoramic views and downhill runs straight into the village. 

Skiing and snowboarding in Filzmoos

With wide, quiet slopes, Filzmoos is ideal for families. There’s some lovely glade-skiing off piste, and cross-country enthusiasts can enjoy the 14 kilometre high-altitude Rossbrand trail.

Nestling in between the Bischofsmütze and Dachstein mountains, the resort has much to offer both the skier and the non-skier - and wherever you ski, the slopes are usually uncrowded and lift queues non-existent.

As part of the Ski Amadé region offering 760 km of pistes and covering five different regions with 25 ski resorts, there is plenty for intermediate and advanced skiers to explore. You can easily access the Ski Amadé region using local buses which run regularly and are payable locally.

Filzmoos is a traditional mountain village with excellent quality of hotels on offer. All within a short walk of the village centre.

Bars and restaurants in Filzmoos

Après-ski is popular at a couple of bars and cafés in the village, such as the lively 'Happy Filzmoos' or the cosy 'Kenn-i-di' bar. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are possible through the forests to the romantic Unterhof and Oberhof huts.
