Surrounded by glorious mountain peaks and glaciers, Obergurgl & Hochgurgl nestle at the end of the Ötz Valley and are guaranteed good snow conditions from November to May. Well known for its top quality hotels and modern, queue-free lift system, it has always been one of Inghams’ most popular resorts. We have been bringing guests here since 1935 and our many repeat guests enjoy the fact that this compact resort is still small enough to meet up with friends on the slopes, at the favorite Nederhütte mountain hut or down in the village.
Obergurgl sees a recent addition of a lovely mountain hut called Schönwieshütte set in a peaceful location at 2,266 meters above sea level at the entrance to the Rotmoostal valley. In addition to the 10-person Kirchenkarbahn gondola that opened in 2015, the 10-person Kirchenkarbahn II gondola is opening for the 2018/19 season – it climbs to 2,839m, to a couple of newly-created pistes. Nightlife and non-ski activities are mainly centred around the hotels, but also include a weekly ski-show, night skiing and tobogganing.
6 days lift passes are also valid in the Sölden ski area. Sölden has 145km of high-altitude skiing just a short ski bus ride away - which is included on your lift pass. There are 2 glaciers also, and three peaks of over 3,000m from which you will get some stunning views.
