About Hotel Eggerwirt

Caringly run by our good friend Frau Weiss, the Hotel Eggerwirt is centrally located in Söll and well loved for its high standards of service.

This family-run hotel has a comfortable lounge with open fireplace and is full of Tyrolean charm and character. Inghams guests return year after year for the warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere.

From January onwards, dinner is served six nights per week, with no evening meal on Wednesdays. This gives you the opportunity to explore the local restaurants in Söll.

Ski Söll! Deservedly popular with English speaking guests, Söll is a lively, good-value, pretty village with an attractive pedestrianised centre. It’s the best-known gateway to a celebrated circuit which enables skiers with wanderlust to visit nine resorts.The villages of Söll, Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Itter, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau and Westendorf form the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.

Tobogganing in Söll offers thrilling experiences for all ages, with both daytime and night-time options. The resort features two main toboggan runs -

Hexenritt (Witch's Ride): This 3.8km natural toboggan run is known for its exciting twists and turns, resembling a wild witch's broom ride. It is equipped with floodlights and a snowmaking system, ensuring a fun and safe experience.

Mondrodelbahn (Moon Toboggan Run): This 4km illuminated run provides a magical night tobogganing experience. The track is wide and family-friendly, starting from the Hexenwasser gondola mountain station.

Sleigh rides in Söll offer a charming and scenic way to explore the winter landscape. Visitors can enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides through snow-covered meadows and forests, experiencing the tranquillity and beauty of the Wilder Kaiser region.

These rides are perfect for families and couples looking for a romantic winter activity. Along the way, you can stop at cosy huts for warm drinks and traditional Tyrolean snacks.

Ice skating in Söll is a delightful winter activity for the whole family. The resort features a natural ice rink at the middle station below the Hexenwasser gondola lift. Enjoy open-air ice skating, practice with ice penguins, or play ice hockey.

Snowshoeing in Söll offers a peaceful way to explore the winter landscape. The Wilder Kaiser region features 113km of winter walking trails, including 30km in Söll. Popular routes like the Pirchmoos walk provide scenic views and a tranquil experience.

Night skiing in Söll is a unique and thrilling experience, and is Austria's largest night skiing area. With over 10 kilometres of illuminated slopes, you can enjoy well-lit downhill runs as well as the valley run, accessible via the Hexenwasser gondola lift. Available Wednesday to Saturday, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, night skiing in Söll provides an unforgettable evening under the stars. 

The legend of the Söll witches dates back to the 16th century. For many years now, the friendly, wise witches have been bringing old legends, customs, myths and traditional knowledge back to life.

Fancy dress witches can be spotted skiing through Söll from Sunday through to Thursday. They can also be found with cauldrons and potions at the Simonalm, encounter a world of legends, stories, songs, games, prayers, customs and traditions.

Söll is a great all-rounder for winter walking, with a mix of easy paths and more scenic circular routes. Trails lead through quiet woodland and open countryside, with regular views towards the Hohe Salve. There’s a bit of variety here too - the themed Hexenwasser winter trail adds a playful, interactive touch to a walk, especially if you’re not just after scenery. Most routes start straight from the village but lifts like the Hexenwasser gondola can be used for higher access, with pedestrian tickets available locally.
