The Pangea Pod Hotel is a unique capsule hotel concept that provides the personal space of a boutique hotel and the social vibe of a hostel. It’s a hub in the heart of Whistler Village where guests can meet like-minded travellers and socialise with friends, yet still have their own personal space to retire to (and get quality sleep in) at the end of each day.

Social Scene

Pangea is central, social, and affordable. Their on-site café/bar, The Living Room, is the ideal place to grab a gourmet coffee or craft beer. Try out their popular après and signature cocktails on Whistler's only rooftop patio bar.

The Pods

All of Pangea’s designer pods include a double bed with privacy curtain, as well as USB charging points, hangers, towels and linens, LED lighting, and a personal fan. Suites are male and female mixed dorms.

Enjoy your day on the slopes knowing your things are safely stored with lockable cubbies in each pod and secure ski/snowboard storage (for more information on security please see our Facilities tab below).

Each of Pangea’s bathrooms is separated into four individually accessed components, including a shower cabin, bathroom with sink, changing room, and stand-alone vanity with backlit mirror.

Location

The hotel has an unbeatable location in the centre of the pedestrianised Village Stroll. All of Whistler's best restaurants, cafes, and bars are within easy reach, and Whistler Blackcomb’s gondolas are just a couple minutes' walk away.

Each pod has its own secluded double bed and privacy curtain. Pods are arranged in suites, which contain Pangea’s innovative bathroom ‘components’ including shower cabins, bathrooms, changing rooms and stand-alone vanities.

Each pod can accommodate up to two guests, though we only recommend sharing for couples. If you’re travelling with friends, having your own private pod will ensure the best experience.

Whistler

Rated again and again as North America’s best ski resort, Whistler has it all. Over 200 trails spread between two peaks (Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains) and linked by the famous Peak2Peak gondola, the resort has become the pride and joy of Canada’s Pacific North West. The resort boasts a mix of hotels and apartments along pedestrian-friendly streets, the whole place is as beautiful as it is practical.

The skiing and snowboarding are world class, and will suit all needs. There are plenty of easy blue and green slopes for those finding their feet, and even more options for those at a more intermediate level including the bowls and the extremely Canadian off-piste tours for those who fancy something a little more daring.

If you’re more suited for the après-ski, you can kick back in the mountain bars. Whistler offers a superb array of nightlife including top of the range restaurants and numerous bars with down to earth, welcoming après from the moment the lifts close until dinner time. Into the night, Whistler is host to a fantastic variety of clubs and bars for those who fancy a spot of dancing.

Why not make the most of your time in Canada and add on a flexible Vancouver city break at the start or end of your Whistler holiday?

We are excited to be working with Black Tie Ski Rental. This coming season you will have the option to pick up your equipment in store or they will come to your hotel and do a fitting in the comfort of your room. Booking early is highly recommended. The team at Black Tie have expert knowledge and will contact you before you travel to take some important measurements to ensure you get the equipment you need. We will therefore require your contact details to pass on to them closer to your holiday.

It’s often recommended that you rent your skis and boards: you will save money on transporting your equipment overseas, you get to sample the latest technology, and if you consider yourself an occasional skier, it’s a chance to find out what your slope style is before committing to a pair of skis/board.

Blue and red skis & boots come with standard boots, a 4-buckle boot with designed to fit and be comfortable for most people. Black skis & boots come with premium boots which means you have a wider selection of brands and models, including stiffer boots for more advance skiers, or wider or narrower fitting boots for wide/ narrow feet or calves. If you have booked standard boots, you can upgrade locally at a charge of $10 per day.
