Set in the heart of Val d’Isère, the Avenue Lodge is a fantastic hotel in a great location. The interior combines a contemporary feel with a mountain feel. We offer the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis with option to upgrade to half board, so you can enjoy traditional French cuisine in a lovely atmosphere. The impressive spa provides a relaxing environment to unwind with an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Or enjoy a post ski drink in the stylish bar and lounge area.

Alpine style

The charming Avenue Lodge has the classic style of the Tarentaise region. The hotel's architecture and interior design were influenced by the work of Jean Philippe Nuel, who creates luxurious spaces across the globe. The colours and the furniture in each area work together to create a sense of harmony and design. The mountain's ever-present presence is brought to life by the use of local materials with warm wood throughout, fur bedspreads and antlers adorning the walls. The spacious rooms offer a pleasantly trendy environment, and the luxurious design of the baths create a space for pure relaxation.

Food and drink

Each morning you can fuel up for the day with the extensive buffet breakfast, including a continental offering with local produce and daily hot option. For a relaxing start to the day, a continental breakfast is also available to have in your room. When you have returned from a day on the Tignes-Val d'Isere slopes, the lounge-bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink with friends or family, each Friday live music can be enjoyed with a cocktail or two. When it's time for dinner, a traditional French menu awaits you.

Soothing spa

The hotel features a magnificent spa which you can relax in after a long day of skiing or on days when they simply don't feel like hitting the slopes. Take a refreshing swim in the pool, or visit one of the two saunas or the hammam to ease any aches or pains in your legs. In addition to that, there are two jacuzzies that are wonderful for unwinding and relaxing in. Massages and other beauty treatments are offered so you can thoroughly unwind in a tranquil setting.

We offer a range of 3-5 star hotels, modern residences and chalets all located within a short walk of the ski area and ski lifts. Many of our properties include spa and wellness facilities with your stay and we also have accommodations that are well suited for larger groups - whether that be families or friends. Across resort you'll find many restaurants that offer traditional French cuisine so there'll be plenty of opportunity to try out the local food. Why not treat yourself and eat in style at a Michelin star restaurant? Val d'Isere wouldn't be the same without it's highly rated après ski scene. The resort is home to La Folie Douce, the most famous mountain club of the Alps that attracts crowds of people year after year - a stop here is the only acceptable way to end the day with a pint and a boogie before skiing or snowboarding your way back down to the village.

Travel By Air

Flights to Chambery or Geneva from 13 UK airports

Transfer Times

  • Chambery airport: approx. 2 hours 15 mins by coach
  • Geneva airport: approx. 3 hours 15 mins by coach

There is a traffic light system for the Tarentaise Valley. This system controls and slows down the traffic, stopping traffic sitting in dangerous places, like tunnels, where rocks can fall and to make snow clearing easier when it is snowing. This can impact your transfer time, meaning you may arrive into resort later and be leaving for the airport earlier.

Transfers may be longer during bad weather conditions or French school holidays. French school holidays span 21 Dec 24 - 06 Jan 25, 08 Feb - 10 Mar 25 and 05 Apr - 05 May 25.
