Ideally located next to the main Crest gondola, the Hotel de Champoluc offers doorstep skiing and a warm welcome from the team. A brand new wellness area for this Winter is the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes.

Doorstep skiing

Hotel de Champoluc offers ultimate convenience for getting on the slopes easily and without any fuss. The Crest gondola is just outside and at the end of the day, a piste will bring you back to the hotel. It is classified as a black run, but its lovely long and cruisy stretches can happily be skied by skiers with a few weeks experience. There are blue runs leading to the mid-station so beginner skiers can then take the gondola down the last stretch.

The hotel is run by owner Max and his team who can't wait to welcome you for your Inghams trip to Champoluc. There's a real sense of authenticity thanks to the Italian team so you really feel like you're on holiday.

Our Inghams Rep will take care of all your skiing needs, sharing the best runs, après and more to ensure you have a fabulous time.

The hotel's wellness area is the perfect spot to chill out. With a sauna, steam room, sensory shower, relaxation room and infrared chairs there is nowhere better to rest your ski legs. The spa is free of charge but a time slot must be booked locally.

Traditional Italian hotel

There's a really nice feeling to this hotel, with traditional Alpine wood features welcoming you in. The bar and dining rooms are a great setting for afternoon tea and chilling out, followed by a lovely evening meal.

Without a doubt, Champoluc is the most popular resort in the hidden gem that is the Monterosa ski area in Italy. This is a haven for those who are looking to take their skiing and snowboarding off the beaten path in an authentic Italian setting. There’s a good range of shops, bars and patisseries to enjoy as well as the Monterosa spa located at the top end of town next to the woodland park, perfect if you need a day’s rest and fancy a bit of pampering.

Skiing and snowboarding in Champoluc

The ski area continues to surprise even the most competent skiers and boarders every year for many reasons. Not only are the pistes extremely well maintained but majority of the season they feel empty compared to the busy slopes in neighbouring countries.

You have three extensive ski areas which are covered with one lift pass; Champoluc, Gressoney and Alagna which are linked by a modern lift system throughout the valleys.

The majority of the slopes are aimed towards intermediate and advanced skiers but the real star of the show is the mass of off-piste areas. True powder hunters will want to head towards the Punta Indren lift and hit up the un-pisted terrain, just make sure you have the correct equipment as it’s not for the faint hearted.

Free ski away day

Sign up to our free ski away day, available to all our guests staying in Champoluc who have pre-booked a lift pass. Our in-resort team will take you to another Aosta Valley resort such as Cervinia, where you can spend the day exploring before jumping on the Inghams coach back to Champoluc.

Like all of the villages in the area, Champoluc is filled with rustic charm and is beautiful to explore, especially as you follow the walkway alongside the river which flows all the way through the village.

At the weekend, Champoluc is a popular destination with the Italian locals who travel up from Milan and Turin, and the whole resort comes to life with après culture.

As you come off the mountain the home run is next to the ski hire shop, so you can drop off your skis and join in the fun.

Lift pass information

Area Pass includes Champoluc, Gressoney, Alagna & two days skiing in another Aosta Valley resort. Does NOT include Indren lift which allows access to the Freeride Paradise area - you can pay locally on the day to upgrade pass to access this off-piste area. Walker's pass available locally.

Our Inghams exclusive tuition are run exclusively for Inghams guests. Lunch is available to pre-book. Guests will be met at the top of the Cretz lift and dropped back to the Hotel De Champoluc at the end of the day.

  • Group tuition needs a minimum number of guests to take place. Very occasionally these numbers aren’t reached. If you have pre-booked tuition and this happens, the ski school will do their best to offer private tuition to the value of what you had originally booked.

Ski Guiding

Enjoy a stress-free tour of the local ski area and get your bearings on the first morning day of your holiday with a local qualified guide. Get insight into the best runs and places to ski on the mountain as well as some useful pointers along the way to improve technique.

Groups are up to 12 people and you must be at an intermediate level, confident and capable of skiing red runs. For just £20 per person, you can enjoy almost 3 hours of guiding. For more information and to book, please call our Reservations team.

Free Ski Away Day

Included in your pre-booked lift pass with Inghams, a ski away day at another Aosta Valley resort. Led by our amazing reps in resort, you can explore even more of the Aosta Valley with transport and a day skiing in another Aosta Valley resort included. The Monterosa Wellness Centre is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon and guests staying at Hotel de Champoluc receive a discounted entry rate. Speak to the hotel reception team locally to make a booking. Discounted rate is €30 on a weekday and €40 on the weekend which allows you 4 hours to enjoy the facilities. Just remember to pack your swimwear as these, slippers and robes are not included in the cost.

Meals

Enjoy a varied continental buffet breakfast each morning with cereals, toast, honey, jams and plenty of other options. Six days of your stay you will also be treated to hot options from the buffet. 

Afternoon tea and coffee with cake is complimentary and served in the lounge area six days of the week. You will also be able to purchase drinks from the bar during this time. 

Dinner is a four course buffet served six days of the week including salad/antipasta/starters plus pasta and main courses and then cheese and desserts.

There is also a pre-dinner glass of prosecco and a choice of red, white or rose wines with dinner followed by tea & coffee.

There's a special celebration menu on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
