About Chalet Zirm

Chalet Zirm is a charming former hay barn set above Arabba, offering a peaceful base for couples and small groups looking to stay somewhere a little more intimate. Inside, you’ll find comfortable, traditionally furnished rooms, a cosy breakfast room and a spa with a sauna and steam room.

Operated by the nearby Hotel Olympia, guests at Chalet Zirm enjoy the best of both worlds. A buffet breakfast is served each morning, while a complimentary shuttle runs at set times throughout the day to the Burz ski lift in the centre of Arabba, around 1 kilometre away. After a day on the slopes, the shuttle brings you back to the chalet, giving you time to unwind in the spa area, which is included for all guests.

In the evening, head to Hotel Olympia for a drink in the welcoming bar and lounge before dinner. There’s a shuttle for both the journey there and back, so you can enjoy a relaxing evening at the hotel without worrying about getting around.

  • The 6:45pm shuttle takes guests to dinner at Hotel Olympia, with return pick-up afterwards.
  • Taxis are available locally at guests’ own cost outside shuttle hours.

Please note there is no pavement from the property to the resort centre. Safe access to and from the resort, slopes and evening meal is all via the hotels shuttle service and we do not recommend walking.

Fuel up for a day on the slopes with a continental buffet breakfast.

Dinner is served at the Hotel Olympia restaurant just steps away serving a multi-course menu featuring a wide range of traditional regional and European dishes.

In Italy, it’s common for hotels not to provide tap water during meal service. Still and sparkling bottled water can be easily purchased locally.

There’s no communal lounge at Chalet Zirm, and the breakfast room closes after breakfast. Instead, you’re welcome to use the bar and lounge at Hotel Olympia. The shuttle starts running there again from 6.45pm for dinner and keeps going until everyone has arrived.

After dinner, you can stay for a few drinks in the bar and the shuttle will bring you back to Chalet Zirm when you’re ready. If you head into Arabba after dinner, you’ll need to walk or take a taxi back, as there’s no shuttle service into the centre.

Discover Arabba

Arabba is one of the best placed ski resorts for exploring the Dolomiti Superski area and is perfect for keen skiers and boarders. The resort itself is extraordinarily beautiful, with unspoilt landscapes and an uncommercialised resort centre. This compact, friendly village offers a small selection of non-ski activities and even has it's own natural ice skating rink.

Arabba has some of the most interesting slopes of the resorts that make up the celebrated Sellaronda circuit. It is a real skiers’ holiday base and boasts excellent, challenging pistes aimed towards intermediate to advance skiers and boarders. We don't recommend Arabba for beginners, but the Dolomites has plenty of other incredible resorts for first-timers including Kronplatz and La Villa.

You'll marvel at the stunning slopes of the mighty Marmolada glacier which are within easy reach.

The highly recommended Hidden Valley is close by too. Part of the spectacular Dolomiti Superski area, the modern lift system ensures Arabba links easily to the Sella Ronda, with Canazei in the Val di Fassa to the West, and Corvara in the sunny Alta Badia ski area to the North.

The fast 'Ornella' run down to Pescoi is one of the big thrills for local skiers – and one of the biggest local challenges.
