The Hotel Evaldo is family run, you'll really get a feel of that as soon as you arrive. Warm and welcoming, Michael and his team have a great sense of pride in the service they provide. Its been a popular base with Inghams guests wanting to hit the Sella Ronda, for years. The great food plays a huge part. From the buffet breakfast where you'll have eggs cooked to order, the afternoon cake when you get back from the slopes, to the tasty four course evening meal. Not to mention the excellent wine cellar, with a great selection to choose from. They'll keep you well fueled for skiing every day!

The whole hotel has a traditional alpine feel that carries through to the bedrooms. They're comfortable, fairly spacious and the Superior Rooms and Junior Suites have balconies.

The spa area is a real treat! After a day of exploring the mountains give your ski legs a break, with a sauna, turkish bath, whirlpool or even a swim in the indoor pool.

Its about a five minutes walk from the centre of Arabba and a little further to the the ski lifts. But don't worry about the walk because hotel runs a shuttle service in the mornings and afternoons to bring you and your equipment to and from the piste. The hotels ski room also has heated boot racks, which helps get the day off to a good start.

Free daily afternoon cakes from 15:00

Arabba

Ski Holidays in Arabba

Of the resorts that make up the celebrated Sella Ronda circuit, Arabba has some of the most interesting slopes, and is a real skiers’ holiday base. It boasts excellent, challenging pistes, and the stunning slopes of the mighty Marmolada glacier are within easy reach. The highly recommended Hidden Valley is close by too. Part of the spectacular Dolomiti Superski area, the modern lift system ensures Arabba links easily to the Sella Ronda, with Canazei in the Val di Fassa to the West, and Corvara in the sunny Alta Badia ski area to the North. This compact, friendly village has a natural ice skating rink and a small selection of shops, bars, restaurants and pizzerias. Après-ski is low key and relaxed, the skiing anything but! The fast 'Ornella' run down to Pescoi is one of the big thrills for local skiers – and one of the biggest local challenges.

Facilities

The restaurant has fantastic food for breakfast. Choose from many options on the breakfast buffet including hot selections. Dinner is just delicious here, wonderful four course foods with salad and dessert buffets. Afternoon cake welcomes you back from the mountain.

The bar and lounge area has all you need for a pre-dinner drink and chill before your evening meal.

We certainly appreciated the pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room after skiing. There is also a fitness room for anyone looking to keep up their gym routine. There isn't anything quite like an after slope massage, indulge in massages or treatments which you can book and buy at the hotel.

The hotel boot room is a decent one with good heating for boots. Let's be honest no one really enjoys a long walk in ski boots, do they? So we used the free shuttle to get to the lifts and back. Book your ideal time between 8.30am - 11am and 3pm - 5pm.

Meals

For breakfast there is so much to decide on. All of your usual European continental style favorites in a generous buffet. The fresh fruits were a highlight for sure.

The four course evening meals were very welcome after a day on the mountain. A salad buffet goes hand in hand with carefully cooked courses. The family run feeling definitely makes it to the food, with almost homely delicious dishes to enjoy. We loved the turkey escalope pan fried in butter, mouth watering. Good luck choosing your dessert from cakes, pastries, cream filled cups, tarts, macaroons and more.

If the food wasn't enough to tempt you, the setting will. Full of character with Alpine ornaments and features, as highlighted by a hotel guest on Tripadvisor perfectly poured prosecco, delicious food and wines. What more can we say?

Here for the Holidays? Christmas and New Year gala dinners are included. Dietary needs can be met, just let us know when you book.
