Beginners skiing and snowboarding in Davos

Ski school takes place at Bolgen and Buenda in Davos and there are some easy runs at Parsenn for gaining confidence. Bolgen and Bunda are in the valley bottom; and there are lots of easy blues to practice on further up. The mix of slopes give lots of variety for those new to boarding.

Intermediates skiing and snowboarding Davos

The wide and rolling blue and red runs are brilliant for cruising intermediate skiers or boarders looking to improve technique. There's a huge range of blues and reds, some quite challenging, to bring people along; and dozens of wooden huts to stop for refreshments.

Advanced skiing and snowboarding in Davos

Try the 12 kilometre challenge from Weissfluhgipfel to Küblis on the Parsenn, or head to Rinerhorn and Jakobshorn for some exhilirating black runs. There's acres of off-piste, loads of ski touring; glacier trails on the Silvretta; and challenging, marked ski routes that are not pisted.

Off piste and snow parks in Davos

Spend the day in snowpark Jakobshorn with its half-pipes and jumps. Rinerhorn is mostly t-bars, so no problem for experienced boarders. On deep-powder day's it's hard to beat skiing and boarding in this area.

Cross-country skiing in Davos

With over 75 kilometres of prepared trails, Davos is one of the best choices for cross-country skiers! No trail pass required. It's linked with Klosters, offering a further 35 kilometres of trails.

Discover Davos

Davos, a bustling town just up and over from the more genteel Klosters, is located in a spectacular valley with great views all around. You may know it as the famed annual World Economic Forum host, but there's plenty more to see and do in this friendly town. Enjoy world class skiing, winter walking, sledging or if you're lucky you can see the Swiss champions Hockey Club Davos at the towns ice rink.

With high-altitude skiing across six different areas, the linked Davos and Klosters region, includes the celebrated Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn, Pischa, Gotschna and Madrisa mountains. There's a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced slopes - so there's something for skiers and boarders of all levels. We love the extensive Parsenn area, which has upwards of a hundred pistes, and amazing long runs all the way down to Serneus and Küblis - it's the key to the heart of the Davos-Klosters skiing, and the location for the legendary annual Parsenn Derby race.

There are some great mountain restaurants on the slopes - Schwendi at Parsenn is one of our favourite lunch spots serving up tasty local dishes. In the evenings, stroll down the town’s Promenade Street and you'll find lots of cosy restaurants and cafés. If you're looking for something a bit more lively there's a good apres and night life scene in town - live music and DJ sets are often on the cards.

You'll find lively après on and off the mountain in Davos. Begin in the Jatzhütte on Jakobshorn before the lifts close and move on to Bolgen Plaza when the skiing stops. Those looking for nightlife should head to Pöstli Club. Its the place to be and be seen. Dress to impress and head inside where you'll find a buzzing atmosphere and DJs on the decks. For something more chilled out after a day on the slopes, check out the popular Ex Bar in the centre of Davos. Here you can grab a beer and watch sport on the big screen or why not give the foosball table a spin.

Our flexible short ski breaks in Switzerland have you covered! Hit the slopes for as long or as short as you like. Design your perfect Swiss ski getaway! Choose your duration, departure day, hotel, and resort. Fly from your preferred airport and customize your trip with extras like ski hire and lift passes.

The choice is yours, flexible durations available in 10 resorts and 34 hotels across Switzerland.

Things to do in Davos

The first toboggan race took place in Davos back in 1883 and it's still really popular in the area. There are plenty of runs you can sled down including the 3.5 kilometre Rinerhorn toboggan run or the Schatzalp toboggan run - plus night sledding is available throughout the season.  Sleds can be rented for a local fee from the valley stations.

With 111 kilometres of marked walking trails in Davos, you'll have plenty of snow cleared routes to explore. The Hohe Promenade in Davos is one of our favourite gentle walks. Take the elevated promenade from amazing views over the town and the surrounding mountains.

When you're not on the slopes head to the Seehofseeli ice rink, it's right in the centre of Davos Dorf. You can enjoy skating, curling and even ice hockey.
