The Schweizerhof Hotel is a firm favourite and has welcomed guests for over 120 years. The resort centre and the outdoor shopping mile are right outside the front door and the hotel benefits from a small wellness area including sauna and steam bath.

Fantastic location

In a fantastic central location right in the heart of St. Moritz, this stylish hotel is furnished in a Belle Epoque style throughout and enjoys wonderful views of the frozen lake and mountains from many of the well-appointed rooms. The Chanterella – Corviglia funicular is just 5 minutes' walk from the hotel so you'll benefit from easy access to the ski area.

An array of dishes

Hotel Schweizerhof has three restaurants for you to enjoy during your stay, all with a different atmosphere and menu. Restaurant Acla is the main area and provides a number of dishes from homemade pastas, bratwurst with rösti or pizza, and if the weather is nice you'll be able to dine on the terrace. The Segantini Dining Room has history in the air with it's intricately painted ceiling giving it its name. Here you can enjoy delicious breakfasts and dine à la carte in the evenings. If you're feeling some traditional Swiss cuisine you're in luck as throughout the winter, Hotel Schweizerhof also has a Fondetta Restaurant, serving all the fondue and raclette you could dream off!

Relax with a drink

There will be many opportunities to socialise over a drink during your stay at Hotel Schweizerhof. You'll find something to suit every mood - sit back and relax in the piano bar, if you smoke enjoy the warmth of the cigar lounge, grab a drink and some snacks from the Muli snackbar and dance the night away in the Stübli bar.

St. Moritz

  • Ski up to altitudes of 3,303 metres
  • Over 350 kilometres of combined ski area across the Upper Engadine resorts

St Moritz has an idyllic location in Switzerlands Engadine valley and is one of the most recognised resorts in the world. The resort itself is split into three villages: Dorf, on the shore of the lake, has the pick of shops, nightlife, and restaurants. This is where our hotels are located. St. Moritz Bad is less than 2 kilometres away - it's quaint and quieter in comparison. Celerina, on the other side of Dorf, has more of an Italian influence and still has its share of hotels and restaurants. All villages have access to the home mountain, Corviglia.

Skiing and snowboarding in St. Moritz

The three main ski areas are CorvigliaCorvatsch & Diavolezza-Lagalb, all of which offer you something different. they're all linked by the local ski bus, which is included in your lift pass. With more than 155 kilometres of runs close to home at Corviglia, many skiers and snowboarders are happy to remain on the local slopes for the duration of their stay. Others will want to see what other temptations the area's have to offer. Across the valley, Corvatsch is reached by cable cars from Surlej or Furtschellas at either end of Lake Silvaplana, and provides a large area of quite steep terrain. For non-skiers, there’s a wide array of activities including more than 200 kilometres of scenic cross-country tracks and miles of winter walking trails.

Bars and restaurants in St. Moritz

St Moritz is a gem for the foodies, with an array of restaurants from Michelin-star spots to cosy alpine restaurants, you are truly in for a treat here. It has a sophisticated laid back vibe compared to other Swiss resorts like Zermatt, however there are still plenty of bars on and off the mountain to enjoy. The Sky Bar at the Hotel Monopol is one of our favourite's - you cant beat the views across the lake from here. If you're after live music and a great atmosphere, then the Stübli Bar is a good bet - it's popular with tourists and locals alike.
