Best months to ski
With a fantastic long ski season across Europe and Canada, there are so many opportunities to take a great ski or snowboard holiday. To help you decide when to go, we have put together some highlights per month:
What better way to get rid of the January-blues then to book yourself a skiing or snowboarding holiday. Take yourself off for a fun-packed and quiet, queue free piste week away out on the snowy slopes of Europe or Canada.
The weather has slightly warmed and the days have grown longer meaning February is a great time to make the most of the slopes and head out for a ski trip, ideally during half-term for a family fun-filled week with the children.
By March the sun is usually shining stronger and the snow is deep, making it the perfect time of year to slip on yours skis (or snowboard) and enjoy the start of spring out on the mountains.
Welcoming in the longer and brighter days and the joys of Easter, heading out to ski towards the end of the season is fantastic - make the most of being in resort at this time of year with outdoor cafes and après ski.
It may seem early in the ski season to be heading out on the slopes, however with our resorts in Lapland, close to the Arctic Circle, where the snow settles nearly all year round, it's a great opportunity to get ahead of the rest.
A wonderfully festive time of year to be away on a skiing holiday, in a resort surrounded by Christmas decorations and lively markets. With plenty of resorts offering fantastic snow conditions at this time of year, it is the perfect winter escape.
Best time of year to ski
If you want to make your ski trip extra special, then we are here to help and have put together some particularly celebratory times to go on your next skiing adventure:
Enjoy a festive getaway on a ski holiday at Christmas time. With plenty of skiing plus Christmas tipples and meals topped off with a Christmas cracker. Enjoy the local Christmas markets, the glowing Christmas tree lights and the festive atmosphere.
Après ski and more. Join in with the resort celebrations and welcome in the new year out on the slopes. Where better to enjoy the fun and parties then a snowy destination to feel the true magic and fun of New Years Eve.
