Recommended walks in France
Nanteaux Mountain Hike
Nantaux is the tallest mountain in Morzine and can be reached from Montriond. There are two routes: one goes around through the forests, while the other goes straight up to the ridge. Both offer spectacular views over the French Alps.
Talloire Tour
Discover the enchanting village of Talloires on a walking tour. The tourist office can provide you with maps showing a suggested route through the main streets, taking in key sights and historic buildings dating back to the 9th century.
Lac Blanc
One of the most famous hikes in Chamonix, this walk offers a beautiful viewpoint over the mountains and a nearby nature reserve. You're likely to see marmots, ibex, and other wildlife here. The trail for the Lac Blanc hike starts at the top of the Flégere cable car lift.
Point de Nyon
The Point de Nyon is a beautiful walk offering great views over Morzine and the Alps. Follow the signs to the Nyon Waterfall and chalet and then it’s a steep ascent through the forest up to the Plateau de Nyon, a grassy meadow with lots of Alpine cows and fantastic views.
