Hotel Milano

  • Lake Garda, Italy, Maderno

Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Hotel Milano is right on the edge of the lake near the centre of Maderno – a peaceful town on the west of the lake. It looks out over the promenade, making it nice starting point to take leisurely walks in the afternoon. A ferry port is 200 metres away so you can easily reach towns like Riva and Desenzano too.

This is a family-run hotel and feels very relaxed with comfy rooms and good amenities. Breakfast in the ‘winter garden’ is a great way to start the day and in the summer, you can take it on the terrace next to the lake. The pool is next to the lake too and loungers are set on the manicured lawn under trees. It’s a lovely place to spend the day if you don’t fancy heading out.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 30 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Maderno has lots of energy. It’s a vibrant town in one of the sunniest spots on Lake Garda. Most of the action is around the beaches – they’re some of the best on the lake. Give some of the water sports a try or just pick out a lounger and chill out on the sand. There’s plenty to do here that’ll keep you active all week. We love the cycling trails that start nearby, or you can grab your boots and go for a stroll around the lake.

The views here are some of our favourite - Mount Pizzocolo dominates the skyline. Pull up a chair at one of the cafés on the promenade and enjoy the views of the yachts. If you want to explore more of the lake, head to the harbour and jump on a ferry. A regular bus service runs along the lake towards Riva and Limone in the north and Salò to the south.
