Hotel Malcesine is perfect if you’re looking for a holiday right on the lake. We love sitting on the terrace and enjoying the panoramic views over Lake Garda with a glass of prosecco. There’s a sunbathing terrace with equally as good views – grab a lounger a relax for the whole day. You’ll be able to see and hear the hustle and bustle of Malcesine as you lay back.

The rooms here are traditional and homely. Lake views can be had a for a supplement. Meals are taken in the small, cosy dining room and you can expect lovely home-cooked meals like pasta and fresh fish. There’s a great pizzeria too with stone-baked pizzas.

The location of the hotel can’t be beaten. It’s right in the centre of Malcesine with the ferry port on its doorstep. Take some day trips to towns like Sirmione, Garda and Limone. Make sure you spend some time in Malcesine itself. The Monte Baldo cable car is just a short walk from the hotel and the views from the top are incredible.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 30 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Malcesine

Malcesine has a lot going for it and it’s perfect for anyone seeking an active holiday. It’s in the north of the lake so you’ve got lots of mountain trails to explore. The cable car goes straight from the town to the top of Monte Baldo, which is a starting point for lots of walk and cycles. The views from up here are incredible so we won’t blame you if you just want to sit and enjoy them instead. The town’s also big on watersports – you can try your hand at sailing or paddle boarding.

Malcesine is one of Lake Garda’s most recognisable resorts. Its beautiful 13th century castle makes it easy to spot from the water. If you go and take a closer look you’ll be rewarded with some pretty impressive lake views. They often have weddings here so you can imagine how romantic it is. The rest of Malcesine feels just as romantic thanks to the little cobbled streets and charming cafés. There’s a long promenade from the southern end of the town where you can walk for a few miles along the lake. There’s a busy ferry port too so you can head to some nearby towns like Limone or Riva very easily.
