Hotel President has been on Viareggio’s promenade since 1949. It’s got a great location in the centre of the resort, across the road from the beach and the many shops, bars and cafés. We love it as a base for exploring the town. The service you get here is great too – it’s a family-run hotel and everyone’s very warm and welcoming. Make sure you speak to them if you want any advice on things to see and do in the area. If you want to relax, head for the nearby Irene Beach Club (open seasonally and payable locally) where you can swim, relax on the loungers or deck chairs and have some lunch at the restaurant.
The rooms at the hotel are comfy and have a traditional style. They all have side sea views but the Pranoramic Front Sea View rooms are our favourite. They’re on the top floor so you can see for miles out to see and watch as everyone walks up and down the promenade. We also love the food here. Breakfast has plenty of options to set you up nicely for the day with some great Italian coffee to go with it. The restaurant’s open for a la carte dinner too and you can try some Tuscan specialities.
Transfer time: approx. 30 mins by private car from Pisa airport.
