Upon arrival at Waldhotel Doldenhorn you will notice the stylish wooden exterior, spacious gardens and grand entrance set below the forested mountain range. Set a pleasant 20 minute walk from Kandersteg centre. The resort bus for access to the main walking lifts stops at the end of the hotel drive.

Inside you can expect the same spacious design with homely pine furnishings in the lounge, bar and a plush dining room. Enjoy pure relaxation in the sizeable indoor pool, steam bath, sauna and whirlpools.  As an alternative to the half board menu guests may choose to dine in the traditional ‘Ruedihus’ with local specialities including fondue or raclette. The outdoor sun terrace sits adjacent to idyllic gardens, amble around these tranquil surroundings and enjoy the scenic mountain setting.

Ambience Twin Rooms are around 25m² and sleep up to four. These rooms have a balcony with mountain view and tend to be at the front of the hotel.

Junior Suites offer the most space at around 45m² and sleep up to four. These rooms have a whirlpool bath and separate shower, and balcony with mountain views.

Kandersteg is an attractive alpine village enjoying a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery in all directions. The main street is lined with inviting cafés and restaurants, and small shops selling local produce. The walking possibilities are excellent, with an abundance of trails around and above the village, from gentle strolls to more strenuous hill-walking. Our hotels in Kandersteg offer you a great choice of accommodation. The Oeschinen cable-car, which is a pleasant 10 minute stroll from the village, whisks visitors up to the glorious scenery of the Oeschinen Lake. Or take the Sunnbüel cable-car, a short bus ride away, for more walking trails and views. Trains in both directions link well-known places such as Interlaken, Lake Thun, Zermatt and the capital of Berne - the possibilities are varied.

Covering 7 cable-cars in the Kandersteg , Frutigen & Adelboden areas as well as the Adelboden-Frutigen-Kandersteg bus. Lifts include TschentenAlp, Engstligenalp,, Silleren-Hahnenmoos in Adelboden, Elsigenalp in Fruitgen and Oeschinensee, Allmenalp & Sunnbüel in Kandersteg. Bus runs approx. 12 June - October. Bus Kandersteg to Frutigen approx. 30 mins, bus Kandersteg to Adelboden approx. 1hr.
