Serre Chevalier takes its name from the peak that dominates the Guisane Valley and is made up of four separate villages - Briancon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monetier Les Bains. This fantastic ski area has 250 kilometres of well interconnected pistes, ample off piste opportunities above Villeneuve and Monetier and probably more trees than any other resort in Europe. We've chosen accommodation situated in the villages of Villeneuve, Briançon and Chantemerle for their good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
About Hotel Daffy, Briancon
90s style, mountain air and a former military barracks - Hotel Daffy isn’t your average hotel. Set in Briançon, this hotel has a relaxed, quirky feel with a slightly offbeat edge. These days, it’s a place for travellers and locals to hang out, with sporty touches everywhere you look. It’s got that unmistakable 90s feel - from the style to the atmosphere, almost like stepping back into the decade.
The Prorel gondola is just an 8-minute walk away, so you can get up into the Serre Chevalier ski area without hauling your skis halfway across town. And when you’re ready to explore beyond the slopes, you’re just a 6 minute walk to the resort centre with a good choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
Back at the hotel, there’s plenty to keep you going after a day outside. Head to La Buvette for a cocktail, with an outdoor terrace, weekend live music and plenty of après-ski vibes. Then grab dinner at La Cantine, where you’ll find French and local mountain-inspired classics with a modern, fun twist, alongside pizzas and daily specials.
