About Lift Hotel

Fresh from a total makeover in 2025, the Lift Hotel is a stylish new addition to Sauze d’Oulx. If you're looking to clock some serious miles during your trip, you really can't beat this hotel. You’re perched right next to the Clotes lift, so you can go from your morning coffee to the heart of the Milky Way ski area in minutes - it's in a prime position for maximum mountain time.

With its sunny position and beautiful alpine interiors, the Lift Hotel brings a fresh modern edge to the Alps. After you've finished your last run, head to the contemporary bar and lounge - a stylish spot that's just as good for a lively debrief as it is for a quiet drink. And if you need to soothe those ski legs, the spa's sauna and Jacuzzi await you (available at a small local charge). 

Start your day right in the breakfast room. With a wide selection on offer, you'll be well prepared for the slopes. Dig into fresh pastries and fruit, sample some of the local cold cuts and cheeses and pair it all with a steaming mug of the good stuff from the extensive tea and coffee selection. The generous buffet, both in quantity and quality, ensures you're ready for whatever the mountain has in store.

Discover Sauze d'Oulx

Sauze d'Oulx is a vibrant resort with a lively après scene that has long appealed to British visitors. The resort offers plentiful tree-lined skiing and wide open, cruising that is ideal for intermediate skiers and improving beginners. The extensive lift system has made access to the 400km of the Milky Way ski area on-piste skiing simple and efficient. 

The Sauze pistes are spread across a north and west facing, snow bowl which is great at preserving snow conditions, making the resort perfect for sampling powder skiing. A definite highlight is the 1300m descent from the top of Monte Fraiteve, skiing all the way to the valley floor at Jovenceaux.

Beyond Sauze, the Milky Way ski area extends all the way to the high altitude resort of Sestriere, past Cesana towards the charming village of Claviere and across the French border to the iconic resort of Montgenèvre. The full area pass covers you for all resorts in the area on the Italian side and two days on the French side. Your pass also covers one days skiing in Bardonnechia, located approximately 20km away from Sauze.

Sauze d'Oulx, located in the Italian Alps, offers a variety of winter hiking opportunities that cater to different skill levels and preferences. The region is well known for its picturesque trails and the serene beauty of the Gran Bosco National Park.

There are numerous trails with varying terrains and four grades of difficulty, allowing hikers to choose routes that match their abilities. Hikes can range from short 45-minute walks to longer 2-hour excursions, offering stunning views and a peaceful winter landscape.
