This tastefully renovated lodge radiates an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation from the moment you arrive. The reception building has a restaurant with open fireplace, small lounge and bar. The lodge sauna has separate times for men and women, and is also bookable for private use (payable locally). There is an outdoor fireplace, shelter and Sámi kota hut.
Christmas Week at Muotka guests arrive on 18 December for 8 nights and either stay all 8 nights at Muotka, or the first 4 nights at Gielas Hotel in Saariselkä and the last 4 nights at Muotka. As well as the activities listed in the adjacent itineraries, Christmas Eve also includes gingerbread baking and tree decorating, and after a traditional Lappish Christmas dinner, Santa will arrive with a small present for all the children.
New Year Week at Muotka guests arrive on 26 December for 6 nights
and either stay all 6 nights at Muotka, or the first 3 nights at Gielas Hotel in Saariselkä and the last 3 nights at Muotka. As well as the activities listed in the adjacent itineraries, New Year’s Eve also includes a festive dinner followed by a bonfire, midnight fireworks and a glass of sparkling wine.
