La Clusaz

The picturesque village of La Clusaz, a delightful ski resort in the winter, also offers a fantastic destination for a summer holiday. The village is surrounded by meadows and has wonderful views of the Aravis mountain range, the area provides extensive activities.

There's amazing hiking and biking opportunities, with the summer lifts running to help get you up into the mountains, from family friendly trails to full day treks. Keep your eyes open to spot Mont Blanc, lakes, fauna and marmots!

For some more hair raising activities there's paragliding, climbing, the via ferrata and white water sports. The summer toboggan run, luge d'ete, is a lot of fun for all of the family. Visits to local farms, a weekly market and beautiful local villages are great places to explore.

 

Things to Do

With its beautiful mountain position, La Clusaz is an ideal destination for an active holiday. The surroundings provide a perfect playground for hiking, cycling, paragliding and via ferrata, amongst others. There are also plenty of cultural aspects to explore, such as the local market, cheese farm and beautiful neighbouring villages, such as Grand Bornand and Manigod.

There are a number of different cycling routes suitable for all ages and abilities, from beginners to experts. For more information, you can download the free app "Virées en Aravis", which gives a number of routes to take throughout the area along with Tourist Office information for cycling.
