Hotel Alexander is a pretty hotel in central Limone. Its low-rise buildings are surrounded by plants and flowers with open-air courtyards around the pool that are perfect for relaxing while reading a book. The pool's infinity style with views of the lake and a whirlpool. Head to the wellness area for a saltwater relaxation pool and tropical showers.

The interior's a mix of modern and traditional. Expect spacious rooms with pool view terraces or balconies that face the lake. When you want to venture into Limone, you’ll be on the lakefront promenade in less than five minutes.

Transfer time: approx. 2 hours 15 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Rooms

Standard Rooms can sleep up to three people and measure 23m². They're located on the ground floor and have a terrace with pool views. Facilities include air conditioning (mid June to September), TV, safe, minibar, hairdryer and a shower. 

Superior Rooms are 28m² and can sleep up to three people. They're located on the first floor and have a balcony with lake views.

Junior Suites are 35m² and sleep up to four people with a double sofa bed. They have a living area and a terrace equipped with sun loungers. These rooms have lovely lake views.

Standard Rooms for Single Use are also available.

Limone

Limone is one of the best resorts for hiking on Lake Garda. It’s right at the bottom of the mountain and steep, cobbled streets throughout the town lead up to some fantastic viewpoints. There’s nothing better than taking an early morning walk and enjoying uninterrupted views over the lake from your quiet vantage point. For the more serious hikers, there’s around 70 trails to choose from of varying lengths and difficulties. Grab your boots and set of early – don’t forget to take your camera!

If walking isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty of reasons to pick Limone as your base. The town is beautiful with colourful buildings and vibrant lakeside promendade. During the summer the evenings come alive with live music concerts in the square. There’s also regular ferries to other towns so exploring Lake Garda is easy. Limone is filled with traditional restaurants using the lemons that grow all around. Take a visit to Limonaia Del Castel to learn about the town’s history with this citrus fruit.

Verona Opera (evening)

The Verona Opera is definitely one for the bucket list! The season runs from mid June to early September and covers all the classics including Aida by Verdi or Turnadot by Puccini. Whichever performance you choose; you’ll have an incredible evening. We’ve included transport to and from the arena so you won’t have to worry about a thing. Venice Classic (full day)

Spend a day in this rich and indulgent city; known for its spectacular Renaissance architecture, dramatic theatre history, cobbled streets and charming waterways. It’s not to be missed! Our Venice Classic excursion allows you to explore the city with a guide as well as at your own pace. You’ll arrive there by coach and a water taxi transfer is included into the historic centre. You’ll also have the option to add on a gondola ride (payable locally). There’s plenty of time to take in sights of the Basilica, Doge's Palace, St Mark's square and the Rialto bridge in your own time – this is the perfect introduction to one of Italy's most magical cities.

Venice Special (full day)

Extend your day in Venice with this excursion. You’ll spend the day exploring the cobbled lanes and canals. We’ve included a lagoon boat trip that takes around an hour – you’ll get to see the Laguna islands as well as other famous spots and monuments. There is so much to see and do in the city, and with your departure time back to your hotel not until 9pm, you won't be rushed to fit them all in.

Majestic Dolomites (full day)

We think the Dolomites are the most breath-taking part of the Alps and this excursion gives you the chance to embrace mountain life with one of our fantastic tour guides. It starts with a scenic drive through the exceptional South Tyrol, Val di Fiemme, Cavalese and Moena regions. You’ll then stop off at Passa Pordoi and take in the incredible views from this 2,000-metre-high vantage point. Then there’s some free time to explore the terrain at your own pace, either by taking one of the trekking paths or simply enjoying an Aperol at a refugio and taking in the views. A stop off at the chocolate box town of Ortisei is included on the way back to your hotel as well as plenty of stops for photo opportunities in this awe inspiring landscape.

Tour of Lake Garda (half day)

Get ready to explore the best of Lake Garda on this excursion – there’s so much natural beauty and picturesque towns to discover. See the spectacular mountain scenery of the north and the sunny plains of the south. Travelling by both coach and ferry, the tour itinerary for this excursion varies depending on where you start but will usually follow the famous Gardensana road lined with fragrant olive and lemon trees to reach the likes of Malcesine, Sirmione, Salo and Limone.

Verona (full day)

Verona is one of Italy’s most charming little cities. Meals

The hotel's dining room has large windows that open up onto the gardens. A hot and cold buffet breakfast is served each morning and you'll get to try some regional cuisine over a three-course dinner if staying on half board. 

There's also a fantastic à la carte restaurant which specialises in pizzas and grilled dishes (payable locally). A small bar overlooks the gardens and pool so you can sit with a cocktail and watch the sun setting over the lake.
