Park Hotel Casimiro Village has a great ‘get away from it all’ location. It’s next to the stunning San Felice del Benaco beach so you’ve got a sandy sunbathing spot right on the doorstep. The sand slopes gently into the lake so it’s easy to dive in for a refreshing swim. A large pool is next to the lake shore and there’s lots of loungers and parasols here to choose from. We love spending all day here with a good book and tasty drinks from the bar. Loungers at the lakeside pool and beach are payable locally. Relax by the indoor pool or recharge your batteries in the sauna and steam room at the hotel's spa - you can book and pay to use the wellness facilities locally. The hotel’s grounds are large and filled with colourful flowers and manicured lawns. We love taking a walk through them before dinner each night.

When you want to get out and explore the lake, you can jump on a ferry Salò to explore other towns on the lake or spend the day in Salò itself. It’s a great, laid back town where you can take lakefront strolls on the promenade and stop for a quiet lunch somewhere.

Salò is one of the most unspoilt towns on Lake Garda. Think Belle Epoque squares with charming cafés, boutiques and grand townhouses. It suits relaxed days of enjoying scenery and long lunches. It’s not difficult to find a nice quiet spot here to relax. We love strolling along the promenade every evening before dinner – it’s one of the longest in Lake Garda so you can work up an appetite before tucking into some local food and wine.

What to see on a Salò holiday

Salò town gets livelier on Saturday when the market comes so make sure you're around for a spot of shopping. During the evening it’s not uncommon to hear live music in venues along the lake - we love grabbing a drink and soaking up the atmosphere. It’s right next door to Gardone too so you can easily explore the Heller Botanical Gardens.

Things to Do

Things to see and do

We love just walking around Salò and its neighbour, Gardone. Bring your camera as you’ll want to snap away every time you come across a charming piazza or Art Deco building. You can stretch your legs along the promenade and look out over the lake – join the locals in the evening and take in the bustling atmosphere. To get further afield, take a ferry to one of the other resorts on the lake. The southern resorts are easy to get to and Bardolino and Garda are just a hop across the lake. If you enjoy gardens and art, then the Heller Botanical Gardens are a must.
