About Hotel Magic Massana

It's easy to see why Hotel Magic La Massana is such a popular choice for a ski holiday. Just 100 metres from the gondola, you'll be on the slopes in no time, with easy access to the ski area and ski school meeting points. Offering great value for money, it's an ideal base for families, friends and groups looking to make the most of their time in Arinsal.

After a day on the mountain, unwind in the hotel's spa or head to the traditional Irish pub, a favourite spot for après ski. If you fancy exploring a little further, Andorra la Vella is just a 15-minute bus ride away, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to discover. Back at the hotel, you can soak up beautiful mountain views from its setting in the La Massana valley.

The Hotel Magic Massana offers some fantastic wellness facilities for you to enjoy. Enjoy relaxing in the indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room and a sauna. You'll also have opportunities to book a massage locally and there is a free fitness room for those of you who have not already exhausted yourselves on the slopes.

Ski storage included

The ski hire shop is located a short distance from the hotel and you can collect your equipment upon arrival ready to hit the slopes early the next morning. You also don't have to worry about finding somewhere to store your gear as the hotel has a ski and boot storage room with designated lockers included with your stay. 

  • Hotel Magic Massana is located in the centre of La Massana and only a short 4 minutes' bus ride from Arinsal resort
  • The hotel is also located close to the bus stop that takes you into the capital of Andorra, Andorra La Vella, which takes 15 minutes' to get to by bus
  • 100 metres to the nearest ski lift (La Massana gondola), which provides direct access to the Vallnord ski area and ski school meeting points
  • Transfers are dropped off and picked up outside the hotel

An extensive buffet breakfast will fuel you up to start the day and when you return the evening meal is served buffet style with a wide variety of choice including show cooking or main courses cooked to order.

A buffet style Christmas dinner in served on Christmas Eve and a Gala Dinner on New Year's Eve with drinks included - please note that the New Year's meals will be across two sittings. 

Lunch:

Pre-book the 'Ski Inclusive' option with lift pass, ski and boots and lunch vouchers are all available. The lunch vouchers are for several participating mountain restaurants and includes a sandwich, chips and a soft drink or beer each day.

Fly to Barcelona:

  • Transfer time: approx. 3 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours by coach with a short break. The coach will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop

Short breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Princesa Parc Hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Short breaks of 5 nights are available at the Hotel Xalet Verdu from Sunday to Friday
  • Wednesday and Friday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times from Arinsal to Barcelona airport, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella from the shuttle to the main bus

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

Discover Arinsal

If you like your ski holidays with a bit of buzz, Arinsal is a great choice. Part of the Vallnord ski region in western Andorra, it gives you access to over 200 kilometres of slopes. Looking for a quieter evening? Nearby La Massana has a more relaxed feel, with plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants. The two villages are just six kilometres apart and linked by a regular bus until just after 10pm, so you can easily enjoy both. Best of all, they're both family-friendly and offer some of the best-value skiing in Europe.

Things to do in Arinsal

If you'd prefer to explore the winter landscape by foot we'd recommend trying snow shoeing. Using poles and your own strength you wade through the snow, making it fantastic exercise as well as a lot of fun. A highlight about snow shoeing is that it takes place away from the busy slopes, allowing you to explore the quieter, untouched parts of Andorra. There are several marked snowshoe trails on the Pal-Arinsal ski map, four in La Massana and one in Arinsal.

If you fancy a break from skiing, take the focus off the mountains and spend some quality fun time with the family. Downstairs in the Princesa Parc Hotel you'll find a 10-pin bowling alley, along with a bar and games room that is open to the general public.

Fly above the mountains on an exhilarating zip line adventure. This unforgettable experience offers breathtaking bird’s-eye views. 

Be the first to enjoy the mountain, you can carve down pristine, untouched slopes, gliding over fresh snow as you take in the calm and beauty of the mountain at dawn.
