If easy access to the skiing is key then this hotel is a good choice as it is just 100m to the gondola in La Massana gondola. Après-ski is close on hand with the lively Irish pub and the hotel offers excellent value for money.
Arinsal, located towards Andorra’s western border with Spain, is part of Andorra’s Vallnord ski region which includes the Pal and Arinsal ski areas, with runs totaling almost 60 miles. There are two separate and very distinct villages. Arinsal is more lively with lots of night life, and La Massana which has more shops and restaurants. The resorts are 6kms apart and connected by bus that runs until 9pm.
Both Arinsal and La Massana are family-orientated and offer access some of the best-value skiing anywhere in Europe. Great hospitality, long sunny days and plenty of well-prepared confidence building runs make it an ideal destination for beginners and intermediates, whilst the radical ‘Freestyle Area’ caters well for snowboarders.
The Arinsal gondola accesses the Arinsal sector whilst the Pal sector is reached from La Massana and has more wide tree-lined slopes, and both sectors are linked by cable car.
Arinsal’s skiing is in a narrow open bowl and the Peke Parc Baby Club is at the top of the gondola. The Pal area has the new 'Skippy Park' for children as well as a separate sledging area with a magic carpet and a zip-wire.
Nightlife in Arinsal is lively with a big choice of bars and clubs operating well into the small hours, whilst La Massana is much quieter in for après-ski and nightlife.
Families are also well catered for in Arinsal and La Massana with an excellent kindergarten (at the top of the Arinsal gondola) and amazing child lift pass offers.
