About Hotel Himalaia

Freshly refurbished for Winter 2026/27, Hotel Himàlaia puts you just moments from the gondola and everything Soldeu has to offer. The resort's shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, while back at the hotel you'll find a cosy bar with a pool table, games area and internet corner - the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes.

If your ski legs need a rest, head to the wellness area (payable locally), where you'll find a hot tub, steam room and sauna. There's also a fitness room if you'd rather keep moving - simply book your time slot with reception.

Staying here also means you'll have easy access to the vast Grandvalira ski area, with over 200 kilometres of slopes to explore. Whether you're just starting out or looking for more challenging terrain, there's something to suit every level of skier and snowboarder.

Spa & wellness facilities

Wellness area with sauna, two whirlpools and a fitness room. Access to the spa is approx. €12 per person per visit. Please book a time slot at reception as numbers are limited.

This hotel is offered on a half board basis.

Each day a continental breakfast buffet with additional hot options is served. 

Enjoy a four course dinner from the buffet each day which includes a selection of soups, salads, mains and desserts from both the buffet and show kitchen. The dress code for meal service is smart-casual.

Christmas festive dinner is included on Christmas Eve and a New Year gala dinner with live music can be enjoyed at the New Year's Eve party.

Although the has a central location, the entrance for wheelchairs is via the underground parking ramp and staff lift.

Travel by air or car

Fly to Barcelona:

  • Transfer time:  approx. 3 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours by coach with a short break. The transfer to Soldeu will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • Private transfers are available, please call to book

Short breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Lodge Park Hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Wednesday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times between Barcelona airport to Soldeu, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella for a shuttle to/from Soldeu

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
