About Hotel Soldeu Maistre

If you're after a friendly, family-run hotel with plenty of character, Soldeu Maistre Hotel is a great choice. Traditional Catalan touches and cosy wood-panelled interiors give it an authentic mountain feel, while the warm welcome keeps guests coming back year after year.

After a day on the slopes, the bar and lounge is a popular place to unwind. On sunny afternoons, the south-facing terrace is the perfect spot for a drink, while in the evenings the cosy bar attracts both guests and locals, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Staying on half board gives you the chance to sample some of Andorra's traditional cuisine. Influenced by both Spain and France, the menu showcases hearty mountain dishes made with fresh local ingredients from the surrounding countryside.

  • It is 20 metres to the nearest bus stop for the local bus that takes you to Pas de la Casa, El Tarter and the capital, Andorra la Vella
  • Transfers are dropped off and picked up 50 metres from the hotel entrance

Fuel up for a day of skiing, the hotel offers a continental buffet breakfast with additional hot options each day between 7:30 - 10:30am.

The food at the Soldeu Maistre is plentiful and good quality with lots of home cuisine and a variety of traditional Catalan and Roussillon dishes being served. The buffet style dinner is served between 8 - 10pm with a good choice of dishes, including soup and salads, starters, a choice of main courses and a dessert buffet.

Christmas and New Year special buffet dinners include unlimited cava and wine during dinner and a party bag for New Year.

Fly to Barcelona:

  • Transfer time:  approx. 3 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours by coach with a short break. The transfer to Soldeu will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • Private transfers are available, please call to book

Short breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Lodge Park Hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Wednesday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times between Barcelona airport to Soldeu, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella for a shuttle to/from Soldeu

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
