About Hotel Piolets

It's easy to see why Hotel Piolets Soldeu Centre has earned its Inghams' Choice status. Loved by guests for its superb location, welcoming service and excellent facilities, this recently renovated hotel is right in the heart of Soldeu, just a minute's walk from the main gondola. That means you'll be out exploring the vast Grandvalira ski area in no time, before returning to relax on the sunny terrace with mountain views.

Whether you're soothing tired ski legs in the whirlpool or sauna, taking a dip in the indoor pool or fitting in a workout at the gym, there's plenty to help you recharge after a day on the slopes. If you fancy an extra treat, you can also book a massage or beauty treatment with one of the hotel's spa specialists (payable locally).

Spa & wellness facilities

The hotel has a lovely spa area with indoor swimming pool, fitness room, sauna, whirlpool and steam room. Access is included for Inghams guests. Swim hats are needed and supplied free of charge. A range of spa treatments are available (additional local charge).

Hotel Piolets has a superb location just 125 metres from the main gondola lift and ski hire shop. You can access the ski hire shop from within the hotel. 

The ski school meeting place is located at the top of the gondola.

The resort centre is a short walk away with bars, shops and restaurants all close by. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel, which heads towards Andorra la Vella and Pas de la Casa.

Hotel Piolets is offered on a half board basis with breakfast and dinner taken in the hotel's restaurant.

Breakfast consists of a continental hot and cold buffet.

Dinner is a 3 course buffet style meal with show cooking.

A Christmas dinner buffet is included, and for guests staying over the New Year a New Year's gala dinner is included with unlimited cava during dinner.

Book the Ski Inclusive Package which in addition to a lift pass and skis and boots includes lunch vouchers for 6 days for a sandwich, chips and a drink in participating restaurants on the mountain.

Fly to Barcelona:

  • Transfer time:  approx. 3 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours by coach with a short break. The transfer to Soldeu will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • Private transfers are available, please call to book

Short breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Lodge Park Hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Wednesday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times between Barcelona airport to Soldeu, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella for a shuttle to/from Soldeu

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
