About Residence Andorra Apartments (El Tarter)

With mountain views and plenty of room to spread out, Residence Andorra Apartments make it easy to settle into mountain life in El Tarter. Set beside the River Valira d'Orient and spread across several low-rise buildings, the apartments offer a peaceful setting with plenty of space to relax after a day on the slopes.

Each apartment has a cosy, contemporary feel, with comfortable bedrooms, a spacious lounge and a well-equipped kitchenette, so you'll have everything you need for your stay.

The El Tarter gondola is just a short walk away, giving you easy access to the vast Grandvalira ski area, with links to Soldeu and Pas de la Casa. You'll also find a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance, while neighbouring Soldeu is just a short bus ride away.

Residence Andorra Apartments are self catering so no food will be provided and guests are free to eat and explore as they wish.

There are a selection of shops and restaurants, and a supermarket in the village centre a 10-minute walk from the residence.

One bedroom apartments (44-49m²) sleep two to four people with a twin or double bedroom and double sofa bed in the living area, bath and WC.

Two bedroom apartments (49-105m²) sleep three to six with a double bedroom, bunk beds in the second bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge, bath or shower and WC. 

Sofa beds and bunk beds are usually recommended for children.

Travel by air or car

Fly to Barcelona:

  • Transfer time:  approx. 3 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours by coach with a short break. The transfer to Soldeu will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • Private transfers are available, please call to book

Short breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Lodge Park Hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Wednesday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times between Barcelona airport to Soldeu, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella for a shuttle to/from Soldeu

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

The huge Grandvalira ski area links Soldeu and Pas de la Casa with over 200 kilometres of slopes, so there's always somewhere new to explore. Fast, modern lifts keep you moving, not queueing, meaning more time carving fresh pistes. Off the mountain, settle in with tapas, local wines and Catalan-inspired cuisine before the après-ski gets going. Fancy even more terrain? The neighbouring village of El Tarter opens the door to another fantastic stretch of the ski area.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
