About Residence Andorra Apartments (El Tarter)

This residence in El Tarter is made up of a number of small buildings set over three floors with good views of the surrounding mountains. These attractive apartments offer all the facilities and space you'll need to have an enjoyable ski holiday. 

Located on the bank of the River Valira d'Orient, these apartments were built only recently and benefit from a pleasant ambience of newness. Each apartment is stylish and cosy and offers all the amenities you will need throughout your stay, including comfortable bedrooms, a large lounge and well equipped kitchenette. 

The Residence Andorra Apartments are located in El Tarter which is a short bus journey from Soldeu. It is a short walk to the El Tarter gondola and the superb Grandvalira ski area where you'll link up with Soldeu and Pas de la Casa. You'll also find that all the amenities of the El Tarter village are on hand with a number of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance.

  • Transfer time:  approx. 3 hours 45 minutes – 4 hours with a short break. The transfer to Soldeu will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop

Short Breaks:

  • Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are available at the Park Piolets Mountain Resort & Spa hotel, with 3-night arrivals on a Sunday and 4-night arrivals on a Wednesday
  • Wednesday arrival/departure transfers will be by public shared shuttle that runs every 2 hours at set times between Barcelona airport to Soldeu, with scheduled stops. There will be a change at Andorra La Vella for a shuttle to/from Soldeu

On Sundays, a Destination Expert will be at the airport to provide information and any assistance required.

The huge ski area of the Grandvalira, which links the resorts of Soldeu and Pas de la Casa has over 200 kilometres of slopes as well as an impressive, modern lift system with state-of-the-art gondolas and fast chairs, leaving no area unexplored. After a day on the slopes, try some tapas and discover the Catalan influences in the food, drink and lively après-ski. Or head over to the neighbouring ski village of El Tarter which provides a peaceful gateway to a fantastic network of slopes.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
