Formerly known as The Wolf’s Den, the Fernie Slopeside Lodge has a ski-in position right at the base of the mountain, just a few steps from the ski lifts. It is at the centre of Fernie Alpine Village with a selection of restaurants, bars and the local convenience store is a short walk away. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation and great value for money.
Fernie offers very little for people who are not skiing and boarding - therefore the resort is unsuitable to disabled or handicapped guests.

Fernie has a cult status amongst stronger skiers and snow boarders. It’s celebrated for its steep and deep, and its extensive off piste. So Fernie is one of the best resorts for enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders looking for new peaks to conquer. Fernie Alpine Village Resort offers doorstep skiing in the midst of the rugged peaks of the British Columbia’s Rockies, just four miles from downtown Fernie, an historic village with friendly and laid back locals. Fernie also has a reputation for excellent snow records, powder bowls, trees and few crowds allowing you maximum skiing time. It’s a snowboarders’ paradise too, with high peaks, ‘steep and deep’ terrain, and spectacular scenery. The opening of a lift to Polar Peak has given Fernie the biggest vertical in the Canadian Rockies (3550ft). Real powder hounds should try the local snow-cat skiing. The evening shuttle makes it easy to explore the lively bars, restaurants and shops both in the Alpine Village and downtown Fernie.
