We are delighted to offer this wonderful modern, yet comfortable, hotel located at the foot of the Aiguille du Midi cable car which is the highest cable car in France.

Great location

The Hotel Heliopic is a lovely modern yet comfortable hotel with a fantastic location in Chamonix. The hotel's interior is influenced by the surrounding mountains, and the stone and wood have been used to create a sustainable, cosy hotel. Each of the bedrooms is furnished to a high standard - offering you a comfortable place to return to after a day of exploring the resort. 

Skiing in France is renowned for the vast array of terrain which is within easy reach of the hotel, head up the Vallee Blanch for world renowned off piste skiing, it is recommended that you hire a guide to show you the best route down. Throughout the winter season, the hotel also offer a free shuttle service to the ski areas. 

Soothing spa

The hotel has a wonderful spa, which is open everyday for hotel guests only, a treat for skiers and non skiers alike. The spa has a cutting edge concept which has a number of hot areas with a sauna, two hammams and a jacuzzi linked by a warm ‘tiedipaerium’ to the cold area which includes an ice grotto and plunge pool. There's also a large indoor swimming pool and to fully rejuvenate, beauty treatments and massages are also available for a local fee. 

Fun for the whole family

The large lobby in the heart of the hotel offers a variety of special hospitality areas which include an all day tea and coffee station, a multimedia area, home cinema, arcade games, bar and restaurant. Children are well catered for with their own play room and there's even a popcorn machine available as an apres ski snack.

Set against truly spectacular scenery at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc, the resort's setting is both unique and breath-taking. Chamonix offers an excellent range of sporting and leisure facilities with an unrivalled nightlife whilst Les Houches is quieter but full of Alpine charm. 

Chamonix has been awarded two Flocon Vert snowflakes, demonstrating the resort's commitment to environmental preservation and highlighting its dedication to sustainable development. Guests can benefit from a guest card included with your accommodation, this gives you free access to the trains and buses in the Chamonix valley. The main fleet has a range of electric buses and hybrid buses to transport you around the valley. Chamonix has also begun the process of requesting UNESCO recognition for the Mont Blanc massif.

Skiing and snowboarding in Chamonix

With 90% of the terrain above 2000m, Chamonix has for many years attracted skiers looking for good snow. The choice of skiing is amazing, from cruisy blues and fun reds at Le Brevent, Flegere and Le Tour to more challenging runs at Les Grands Montets. There's even the renowned Valle Blanche, a 23km descent, an unmarked, unmaintained and unpatrolled off-piste run down into Chamonix.

There's an efficient ski bus service which links the five main ski areas with our accommodation in Chamonix and the nearby village of Les Houches, so you can experience a new area almost every day.

Standard Classic rooms are bright and comfortable, they are around 22m² and sleep two people.

Superior rooms are around 25m² and can sleeps two adults and a child. The room is made up as a twin or double and has an additional single bed which is suitable for a child up to 12 years old.

Meals

This hotel is offered on a half board basis.

Each day an extensive continental breakfast buffet offering fresh fruit, sweet and savoury pastries and cakes and additional hot options are served in the Akashon dining room. The breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 to 10am. Room service breakfast is also available. 

A three course evening meal with a choice of main course is served each day. You can dine from the a la carte menu for an additional supplement at the Restaurant Akashon, which has been awarded the Bib Gourmand Distinction by the Guide Michelin. Alternatively you have the option of dining in the Frometon Restaurant which serves delicious Savoyard specialities including fondue, tartiflette and raclette. Please note that this is not included in the half board offering and is paid locally.

A New Years Gala Dinner is included.

Earlier meal times for children are available in the restaurant on request.
