About Chalet Jardin Alpin (La Tania)

An Inghams Chalet is your place to slow the pace after a day on the mountains. Freshly prepared meals, welcoming Chalet Hosts and relaxed evenings all come together to create a holiday that feels every bit as enjoyable off the slopes as it does on them.

Chalet Jardin Alpin offers the perfect mix of peace, stunning scenery and a great location. The open-plan lounge and dining area is a real gem, with huge windows that let in loads of natural light and give you amazing views over the resort and snowy peaks beyond. Whether you’re digging into afternoon tea at the table or kicking back on the sofas in front of the roaring log fire, the views are pretty hard to beat. And if you fancy a peaceful start to your day, just grab a coffee and step out onto the sunny terrace – perfect for soaking up the fresh mountain air. 

When you fancy exploring, the charming, pedestrianised village centre of La Tania – with its shops, bars and restaurants – is only an eight-minute walk away. This is also where the main gondola is, being your gateway to the Courchevel slopes and amazing Three Valleys. The chalet sleeps up to 12 people in six cosy, en-suite bedrooms, so there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax.

Ski hire delivery service

The ski hire shop linked with Chalet Jardin Alpin is White Storm, located in Courchevel 1850, but we've created a tailored chalet-fit service for your convenience, where your ski equipment will be delivered directly to the chalet. 

When booking you just need to give us some important measurements to ensure the ski hire shop arrives prepared with the best equipment for you and your needs. A member of their team will visit the chalet, after you've settled in, to service, check and (if necessary) change and adapt any equipment onsite. 

If at any point during the week you are unhappy with your equipment or come across any issues, the White Storm teams will be readily available all week and you can pop into one of the stores located in Meribel and Courchevel. 

Children in chalets

Children 10 years and under will be served an early High Tea at 5:30 pm. However, if you've booked the chalet for sole use, children are welcome to join the adult dinner sitting. Children's menus are also available.

Children 11 years and under are welcome in the chalet on any date where one group books the entire chalet for their exclusive use. Otherwise, children are allowed on peak dates only. For Winter 2026/27, these dates are:

  • 13 and 20 Feb
  • 27 Mar, 3 and 10 Apr

La Tania resort centre, and main gondola, is an 8-minute walk away.

Our catered chalets mean there is no need to worry about a shopping trip whilst on holiday, as you will be looked after by us from arrival right to departure. 

Staff night off is once a week when there is no afternoon tea or dinner, so on this day you can explore the local restaurants in La Tania. Breakfast on this day will be a continental breakfast. Our Destination Experts are there to recommend and book a local restaurant in resort for the free evening.  

  • For 6 mornings of your holiday there’s a classic full cooked breakfast available.
  • A tasty home baked cake will be served for afternoon tea with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate.
  • A 4-course set menu will be cooked and served by your chalet hosts on 6 evenings of your holiday. Start your evening with an aperitif with nibbles, followed by a starter, main, dessert and cheese board.
  • Wine is served with dinner, plus tea and coffee will be available after your meal.
  • On Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, a special celebration menu is prepared.

Chalet staff day off is usually a Wednesday, but for Christmas and New Year week this will be a Tuesday.

Breakfast 

A continental buffet breakfast is available on 7 mornings of your holiday. There’ll be a selection of cereals, bread and pastries from a local bakery, jams and spreads, local cheeses and charcuterie, yogurts and fresh fruits. We have Nespresso coffee machines in each chalet, along with teas, infusions, hot chocolates and fruit juices.  

For 6 mornings of your holiday there’s a classic full cooked breakfast available, starting from 8am. Your hosts will take an order from you and get it prepared ahead of your big day on the slopes. Options include free range eggs, sausages, bacon, halloumi, mushrooms and tomatoes.  

Afternoon tea 

A fresh cake will be baked and ready for your return from the slopes, 6 days of the week. Perfect to pair with the selection of teas, hot chocolate and Nespresso coffee, that’re in your chalet for you whenever you fancy.  

Evening meal 

A 4-course set menu will be cooked and served by your chalet hosts on 6 evenings of your holiday. You’ll start your evening with an Aperitif and nibbles, where we have a choice of 2 Italian Proseccos from the Veneto region, one of which is a 0% alcohol option, beer and soft drinks. 

The evening set menu has been designed to incorporate a variety of different cuisines, including classic French, Asian, Italian and British dishes. One evening the menu will be a delicious regional dish, from the area you are staying in. 

After each homemade dessert there’s a selection of cheeses with fresh bread, crackers and chutney, along with coffee, tea or infusions. 

There will be special celebration menus on Christmas Day & New Year's Eve. 

Wine and drinks 

During your evening meal guests can indulge in our carefully selected complimentary local wines, which consists of a choice of 3 red, 3 white and 1 rosé. All of the wines have been carefully chosen so that there is a great variety and offer something to cater for all tastes and that pairs well with the menu. 

For those guests that don’t drink wine, there is a selection of beer (both with and without alcohol), sparkling mineral water and soft drinks.

  • There is a traffic light system in the Tarantaise Valley controlling traffic and stopping cars and coaches sitting in places where rocks could fall, and to make snow clearing easier when snowing

Please note that transfer times may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic, particularly during peak season and French school holidays (French school holidays span 18 Dec 26 - 03 Jan 27, 06 Feb - 07 Mar 27 and 03 - 25 Apr 27).

Travel by train

We also have the Eurostar Snow Train which is bookable for 7 nights to Courchevel, from London St Pancras. Available between 20 December and 28 March 2026.

This is a train that departs and returns Saturdays with a much shorter transfer of 45 minutes from Moutiers railway station. Add an extra 10 minutes if staying in Courchevel 1850.

Discover Courchevel

Courchevel is truly a world class ski resort, located in the renowned Three Valleys Ski Area; with over 600km of slopes you won't be short of pistes to explore during your holiday. Snow cover is more or less guaranteed throughout the winter season given the altitude of the resort. We have accommodation in three of the six villages, plus a chalet in La Tania, so there's plenty of options. Whether you have been skiing for decades or this is your first time on the slope you will enjoy the diversity of the runs throughout Courchevel itself and in the wider ski area.

Things to do in Courchevel

This state-of-the-art pool and spa center is a brilliant way to take a day off from skiing and rest your legs. Perfect for the whole family, the swimming area has a children’s play pool, two large pools, diving boards and slides. There is also a mini wave pool to test your surf skills. Payable locally.

Swap your skis for a set of skates and enjoy the indoor ice skating rink which is open daily throughout the season. You can also watch ice hockey matches throughout the winter. Payable locally.

Courchevel lets you walk into the heart of its unspoiled natural environment with 11 snowshoeing itineraries which are categorised from green to black, just like the ski runs. Whether you’re an occasional rambler or a hard-core hiker, there are snowshoeing itineraries for all abilities. Payable locally.

Race down the 3km toboggan run in Courchevel Moriond (1650) it is incredible fun for the whole family. You can also whizz down the 2km long sledge run in Courchevel in both day and night. Payable locally.

This is a great opportunity to experience the mountain in a different way. Once the ski area and lifts have closed for the day head on a guided snowmobile expedition around the snowy landscape. Payable locally. 

Take to the skies and experience the mountains from above, an experienced guide will take you to new heights where you glide over the stunning mountain landscape. Payable locally.

If you don't fancy gliding through the air, you can go on a hot air balloon flight and admire the Alps from above.  The balloons tend to come from the Altiport of Courchevel 1850, and take you on an hour tour of the mountains. Payable locally.

For an activity which doesn't involve skiing, snowboarding or après, head to the bowling alley at the Forum for a game or two. There is also a bar and restaurant onsite, as well as billiards and arcade games to keep you entertained. Payable locally.
