Chalet La Rocheure is a beautifully renovated traditional farmhouse dating back to the 17th century and retains its original charm with local wood and stone paired with a modern and stylish interior. La Rocheure is a hugely popular chalet and ideal for a group of friends who want to enjoy a relaxed chalet ambience in a great location, and in a world class ski area.

Style and charm

The interior design of the Chalet La Rocheure is of a high quality throughout; it blends traditional features with contemporary touches to create a look that is both stylish and comfortable. The living and dining area of the chalet is spacious and open-concept, featuring high ceilings and huge windows which lead onto a balcony overlooking Val d'Isère and the Solaise Mountain.

Great location

The chalet has doorstep skiing, click on your skis in the morning and follow the gentle slope from the chalet down to the ski lifts. At the end of the day, you can ski back to the chalet via the red Olympique slope, which is best suited for intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders. There is a free ski shuttle service which stops close by to the property until 8pm, allowing you to easily access the mountain and return to the chalet. A true skier's paradise, this snow-sure resort is connected to Tignes and creates one of the most diverse ski areas with 300km of slopes.  From absolute beginners to expert skiers, it has so much to offer for every ability.

The chalet is approximately 700 metres or seven minutes' walk to the centre of Val d'Isère, where you can find a range of shops, bars and restaurants. Apart from the fantastic skiing, Val d'Isere also has plenty to keep you occupied even when you are not on the mountain - lpend the afternoon at The Aquasportif which has a spa, swimming pool and sports courts or head to the legendary après at La Folie Douce.

Travel By Air

Flights to Chambery or Geneva from 13 UK airports

Transfer Times

  • Chambery airport: approx. 2 hours 15 mins by coach
  • Geneva airport: approx. 3 hours 15 mins by coach

For customers who are booking a Gatwick flight, we highly recommend that you choose the morning flight for Val d'Isere due to the traffic light system in the Tarentaise Valley. This system controls and slows down the traffic, stopping traffic sitting in dangerous places, like tunnels, where rocks can fall and to make snow clearing easier when it is snowing. This can impact your transfer time, meaning you may arrive into resort later and leaving for the airport earlier.

Transfers may be longer in peak holiday periods if there is heavy traffic or if there is bad weather conditions.
