Discover Corvara & Colfosco

Corvara and Colfosco are delightful villages nestled in the Alta Badia region of the Dolomites and have been enjoyed by British skiers for many years. Ideally located on the Sellaronda circuit, both areas have easy access to the main slopes including connections to Arabba, Selva, Val di Fassa and the exhilarating Marmolada glacier. The local ski areas of La Villa and San Cassiano also boast superb skiing amidst inspiring scenery.

Apart from the Sellaronda, the best local skiing is “up the road” at Corvara, taking in the excellent “local” slopes of La Villa and San Cassiano. Both villages also have access to the ski areas of Arabba, Selva, Val di Fassa and the iconic Marmolada glacier. Colfosco is the final destination for one of the great off-piste descents in the Dolomites – the Val Mezdi (Mid-day Valley).  But do take a guide and be prepared to turn back if the steep start of the run puts you off!  It quickly levels out, and by the time you have reached Colfosco, you’ll have descended well over 1,200 vertical metres (almost 4,000 feet) – and skied one of Italy’s classic runs.
