The Hotel Antares is located in the centre of resort nears the ski lifts, shops, bakeries and everything you could hope for from a true Italian ski resort. After a warm welcome at reception, it's time to unpack your bags in a clean and cosy room - most rooms have a balcony, but this cannot be guaranteed. You will find plenty of space and a nice big bed to snuggle into each evening, it's the perfect base for a great weeks skiing.
Meals at the hotel are a highlight for many guests. Breakfast is a feast of goodies from the usual continental goods such as cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses to the more British start to the day of eggs and bacon. However, what caught our eye was the hot doughnuts with cream, jam and local honey, maybe not everyone's cup of tea for breakfast but we definitely recommend them. Dinner will not disappoint either as you enjoy 4 courses of international recipes, many of which are so creative and artistic, its a shame to eat them. What we can tell you is they are as good as they look and whatever you do, don't miss out on the weekly Tyrolean gala dinner where you will be presented with some tasty local delicacies.
It doesn't stop there, the hotel also has a lovely wellness area and we must tell you about the pool, but more on that later. If you want to put your feet up and enjoy a herbal tea, there is a great relaxation room, tastefully decorated and the perfect place just to chill. If however, you want to turn the head up, you could also head for sauna. Personally it's all about the pool and beautiful cascading waterfall which looks like it's coming straight out of the rock, definitely our favourite place to be.
If you want to get out and about, walking around the resort is the best way but if you have sore ski legs, the bus stop is just a couple of doors down.
Transfer time: approx. 3 hours by coach from Innsbruck airport.
