A real gem, The Hotel Pralong with its little wellness area sits opposite the slopes at the top of resort with spectacular views towards the mountains and forests. What sets it apart from others and is one of the many reasons Inghams has worked with the hotel for many years is the owners, the Denicolo family. Not only do they provide a high standard of service and create a warm family atmosphere where you can quickly feel at home, they have a real passion for the mountains and skiing as proven by not one but two of the family having competed in the Ski World Championships.

The Denicolo family have put a lot of effort into the attention to detail, design and decorations of this traditional yet stylish hotel. Nature clearly plays a part in all of this which can be seen throughout the property with candles surrounded by fur cones in the bar area, beautiful embroidered cushions in the dining room and bedrooms and flowers and reefs in reception and other public areas. We particularly liked the stag head candle holders on the dining room table, a lovely touch.

Located just 150 metres from the Ciampinoi chairlift, access to the famous Sella Ronda circuit couldn't be easier each day. The centre of town is roughly 500 metres away but you can catch the local bus, the nearest bus stop is just a short walk from the hotel.

At the end of each day you can relax in the small wellness spa. Included in the holiday cost is the Finnish sauna and Turkish bath, other facilities such as the whirlpool and infra-red sauna are charged locally.

Transfer time: approx. 3 hours by coach from Innsbruck airport.

Set in the Südtirol’s charming Gardena valley, Selva is a gateway to the famous Sellaronda skiing circuit, where you can ski around the gigantic limestone monoliths of the Gruppo Sella. This delightful and not particularly challenging 25 mile tour can be achieved fairly easily in a day. Selva, part of Dolomiti Superski, the largest lift system in Europe, combines the best of Italian and South Tyrolean traditions for a unique ski holiday experience. It offers unbeatable quantity and variety of skiing right on its doorstep, a paradise for dedicated skiers of all levels. The picturesque old town of Ortisei, the principal community and cultural centre of Val Gardena, with its own small ski area, is both chic and traditional, with a picturesque town centre. Ortisei links easily with Selva’s pistes whilst its local Alpe di Siusi ski area is also well-known for its cross-country trails and a thrilling six kilometre toboggan run. Val Gardena is the venue for one of the early World Cup meetings each season. The Saslong downhill run to Santa Cristina - with its famous "camel bumps" - is the scene of the men's downhill on Mount Ciampinoi.
