Four Valleys Ski Area

The largest linked ski region in Switzerland

Set in the beautiful natural reserve, the Four Vallées offers everything you need for a Swiss ski holiday. It is the largest linked ski region situated on Swiss territory, and offers over 400 kilometres of varied pistes covered on one lift pass. The ski area is made up of six resorts Verbier, Nendaz, Bruson, La Tzoumaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon - whether you are after mellow sunny slopes, challenging terrain or marked off piste, there is an area for everyone.

Ski holidays in the Four Vallées Ski Area

With a central location in the Four Vallees, Nendaz is a great option for the whole family. The little ones can perfect their technique in the three snow gardens, while the more intermediate skiers and boarders will enjoy the varied runs through the trees. If you are after a thrill, head up the highest point at Mont Fort and set off down the ungroomed black slope towards the Col des Gentianes - it is worth heading up the cable car just for the view.

Spend the day in the world-renowned resort of Verbier, beginners will enjoy cruising the blues in the sun-drenched area of Les Esserts while intermediates will love the Les Ruinette area where you can find a variety of steeper runs. The advanced skiers and boarders will enjoy designated off-piste routes in Mont Gelé - these are the yellow trails marked on the piste map.

Thyon is the farthest point in the Four Valleys ski area and you'll need to be competent in skiing red runs to get across here, however lunch with views of the Matterhorn and the Dent Blanche is worth the ski over.

Located right in the centre of the largest ski area in Switzerland - the 4 Valleys - Nendaz is a large and thriving resort that will offer you everything you need for the perfect ski holiday. You'll have access to a huge 410 kilometres of slopes, ranging from cruisy blues to some great off pisting. Nendaz has also been awarded the Family Destination label by the Swiss Tourism Federation, making this resort the perfect choice for families too, with lots of off-slope activities for children and adults a like.

With over 400 kilometres of slopes, the Four Vallées has an area for everyone. For first time skiers and boarders, Nendaz is an excellent choice with three beginner areas designed to help build confidence. Once progression has been made there are plenty of gentle slopes in and around the Printse Section linking Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon.

Intermediate skiers have the area at their fingertips, choose from the sunny slopes in Savoleyres and La Tzoumaz or race down the highest point in Mont Fort - a challenging and often mogulled black run. For some tree lined, skiing Bruson is a quaint and quiet area just off of Verbier.  If you are after a challenge head down the marked off piste routes from Chassoure-Tortin and Monte Gelé - tackle the moguls and relatively steep descents.
